I get having kids do chores for you, but like, you went through the effort of getting the wafer already and the box is literally next to you. Just like, go replace it yourself? Unless she’s well aware and just actually trying to poison her son

Literally every chore I give my kids would have been faster and easier to do myself. Saving time or effort is not the point of the exercise.

Yeah, every time this (frequent) repost comes up there’s always this exchange, between people who see chores as a way to offload a parent’s household work and those who see chores as a way to teach children how to build their own life skills as future adults.
