They couldve just put the box under the sign on the left…
Comment on In case you weren’t sure which box

Knowing how stupid people can be, the amount of instructions is justified.

I like the solution in the picture. This way, whether the delivery person looks to the left or right of the road, there is a sign to help guide them. If they focus on the right, they see the box. If they focus on the left, they see the sign telling them to direct their focus on the right.
If there was instead just the sign/box both on the left as you suggest, a delivery person may focus on the right and miss it completely.

I have a box for deliveries next to my garage. I put a big sign on the lid of the box so you can see it when you walk up the driveway, but not from the street. Still, some of my deliveries get taken to the front door despite my instructions I entered into their app.
This is a great idea. I wonder if some delivery persons are approaching from the other side of the house and walking across the yard. I think I might see if I can order a custom door mat with an arrow pointing towards the box…

“I already placed the box before putting up the sign! Duh.”

Honestly I fully expect someone to not understand.
The last place I lived, the owners had set up a delivery box since they’re getting deliveries nearly every day, some of them large.
It was a nice box, insulated and waterproof, clearly marked as “DELIVERIES”
They still had drivers dropping things off at the door to their garage, their detached garage, front door, and once back door.
So they made a sign that had DELIVERIES with an arrow on the opposite side of the driveway, and put logo stickers for every delivery company they could think of on the box itself.
Still had things dropped off at the door.
Eventually they put up a gate without a fence across the driveway, painted the bin bright orange, left it next to the gate… And had a couple drivers walk all the way around the gate and down the driveway to the front door. At least until they put up a fence, then they had a few deliveries marked “undeliverable” until they called the companies about it.
Never underestimate what a delivery driver who is rushed by their company can miss while trying not to get fired for taking too long to deliver something.
