That tracks. I struggle to maintain boundaries and have a history of BPD folks being into me. It never goes well, and I can’t imagine a psych ward would go any differently

Okay so yes it’s green text but…
I know people who work at inpatient acute facilities and they are constantly having to cockblock people to prevent truly horrible things from happening.
So while this particular story may not have happened, this general story happens daily.

Worse yet a lot of mental health conditions have genetic components so the kids are basically getting the worst hand you can possibly deal them.

That’s really not well proven.
There’s some evidence for and some against. If these two have mental conditions caused by environmental factors that they overcome they may actually provide a really good environment to a child.

It’s not some eugenics thing.
People with borderline have a much higher success rate at maintaining their abusive relationship style with people who are already mentally struggling or otherwise neurodivergent.
