Not gonna lie - I read that as “We should elevate the worst among us” and right now we’re unfortunately doing exactly that.

I might be a bit too socialist, but I think that’s the ideal. We should strive to elevate the worst off among us and that should be a cornerstone of modern society.
Kind of feel like we’re failing until we get to the point where we can’t tell who the bottom 10% is. It’s almost the same concept as “No One is Free until we are all Free”.

hug
…I just wanted to hug me. But I can’t hug me, because I only have 1 body, and I’m currently occuping my own body.
So I hugged you, because you sound like me, and thats close enough.
Ok, now help me get out of MY body, and into the body of a 3,000 foot tall metalic robot godzilla creature that can spit flames!
What? I think that would be really cool. Just spitting flames in the air. Roaring like a badass! I’M A MOTHA FUCKIN T-REX!!!

Have you ever seen the movie Mr. Right, starring Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick?
Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 month ago
No…based on the title, it sounds like a movie about two people falling in love.
Based on what I said, and it reminded you of the movie, I’m going to guess it’s a movie about two people turning into massive godzilla creatures and falling in love while they destroy the planet.
…did I get it right?

I'm ok with there being some amount of wealth disparity, but nothing even close to like homeless vs. owns a yacht with a helipad. But before it's ok to have moderate wealth disparity we have to first meet the basic needs of all people including healthy and comfortable food, water, sanitation, housing, and healthcare.

I remember an old BBC show. Aristocratic woman tells a Socialist that she hates Socialism because it wants to destroy everything that’s first class. He tells her that he wants to get rid of everything that’s third class.

The problem is if you eliminate the lower class you also destroy the upper ones. Wait that’s not a problem. Never mind.
