    like pronghorn antelope, is not an antelope at all, its antilocarpine, sister to the giraffe family. or the american cheetah, is actually a suped up puma relative.

    It’s a common thing. German loves to call animals pigs or dogs; though it tends to be more obvious that these “thorn pigs” and “sea dogs” aren’t actually related to regular pigs and dogs.
