i just checked and aparently it was Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir of iceland in 2013, altho technically they were prime minister, not president. the first president would have been Edgars Rinkēvičs in 2023.
of course these are only the first openly gay ones. while looking into this i saw that james buchanas in 1844 was the first known gay us president, altho they were closeted.
the list of openly gay heads of states is really short btw and well… only starts in 2013. im no one for girlbossing, but this both is quite sad and a positive sign for increasing queer acceptance en.wikipedia.org/…/List_of_openly_LGBTQ_heads_of_…
btw iirc clinton was a presiden as well? so if trump gave clinton head, then clinton was a gay president before trump… unless its not gay to receive head?

Probably Lincoln. From that link (emphasis mine):

The documentary about him dealing with vampires doesn’t mention it at all though

Alright. I’ll take that. Lincoln isn’t the hero history makes him out to be, but he’s also far from the villain that trump is. I’d say he was a mostly decent person, even if some of his choices were less moral conviction, and more of the path of least resistance. Which is insane, when you consider that the nation was SO divided at the time, that the CIVIL WAR was the path of LEAST resistance.
So for me, Lincoln middle of the road. As opposed to trump, who morally isn’t middle of the road. He’s more drove off a cliff into a ditch, car is on fire, people are dying, and now he’s lying about the cause of the crash.

Yeah, at the very least, Clinton was president before trump, so he’s not the first no matter what. Not that Clinton’s a great guy, but he’s passed the lowest possible bar of “not trump”
