As much as I would love Colorado to depart the insanity, it will never happen. A ton of the nuclear ICBMs are here and it’s not like Washington will give that up.
Throw in British Columbia and Alaska while you’re at it. Just take the entire west cost of North America.
And what should be the east coast, since if the international date line didn’t do that weird curve at the end of the Aleutians, Alaska would be the northernmost, westernmost, and easternmost state.
Alaska was full of libertarian “I came out here so I can live as I please” types, but a lot of them have shifted over to the crazy.
I think with the right-wing media being severed (with regulations around honesty in news and a more publicly funded system, not particularly with censorship), those types would go back to their “just leave me alone” ways.
I love when people throw around the idea of Canadian provinces just being up for grabs, as if we want anything to do with what’s going on south of the border.

They should probably just join back up with Old Mexico and take Colorado too so they are left out cold

Those are negotiating chips. Less likely to be invaded if you have nukes at your disposal.

Colorado has NORAD but that’s not where many of the silos are.

Pretty sure these are still active. I’ve driven by some of them.

BC says no thanks. Even west coast US is still broken AF.

Since you’re including the entire north american west coast, can Baja California get an invite too?

We are not opposed to that either.

Colorado is willing and able to join this western alliance!
