    The OG German also says “most beautiful in the whole country.”

    Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand,
    Wer ist die Schönste im ganzen Land?

    It was changed to rhyme with the English word for “all” but you could argue that even in English it isn’t a literal inclusion of every person alive.

    The original also puts Snow White’s age in the story at seven years old, so maybe we don’t need to be comparing relative aesthetic qualities of women and children at all.

  Fairest means lightest skin color though.

  So, yeah, Snow is whiter than Jasmine or Moana, etc.
