I’ma be real, I personally find this egg stuff to be fairly offensive and insanely hypocritical. No one can question your gender identity (rightfully so), but you’re allowed to question others? Then there are the overt comparisons one can draw from saying someone flamboyant is actually gay.
So wherein lies the right granted to you that you’re allowed to question someone else? Regardless of if it was to their face or not, it’s just nasty behavior. If someone is an egg, let them come to that realization themselves. Don’t suddenly attribute a label to them that you’ve chosen for them.
It’s just reductive and gross. Knock it the fuck off.

I didn’t mean to question their gender, just wanted to make a subtle nod to at a pattern that can be seen.
You make valid points and I see now how what I posted wasn’t the best thing to post, so thank you for that.
I hope you have a nice day

That’s fair. I hope you have a good day as well <3

It’s from experience. This meme was exactly how I felt before I realized I’m trans. You’re never going to come to that realization yourself if you’re never exposed to the possibility that that’s an option. If someone is confident in their gender identity, they shouldn’t have any problem being called an egg.
Are you going to say gaydar is offensive? We just have a knack for identifying our own.

Then make a joke that you felt that way and then realized you were trans. These egg jokes insinuating someone is trans are a pretty clear violation of the egg prime directive.

Your experience is not universal.
I agree. However that was not the topic of discussion. The topic of discussion was how useful it is to point at someone and say nothing other than a label that you have given to them yourself. They had no say. They didn’t have any input. It was just chosen for them and ascribed to them. That’s kinda fucked up. If you replace that with literally any other label, it suddenly is an issue, no? Or is labeling people without their input or agreement just something that you find acceptable?
Yes. If they’re comfortable they can weather someone labeling them. However, that does paint you as the shitty person for doing something to someone to which they have to withstand it. Do you not see the issue here?
Invalid comparison. Literally nothing in common. There is a far cry difference between recognizing traits in someone that may or may not be part of your group and then theorizing that they are one as opposed to pointing at someone and publicly just saying “GAY.”
Here you go again. You have no idea whether they are one of your own. But you seem to be perfectly fine with ascribing a label to someone else that you yourself have decided. That is pretty shitty and disgusting behavior. We literally tell children to not do this because it is bullying.
I’m not continuing this conversation with you. I’ve made my points pretty clear.
