it’s still a force, produced by a field (in this case curvature), although alternative opinions are available: inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=qYSKEbd956M (linky to pbs spacetime about enthropy gravity)

i’m actually somewhat wondering from science friendos we have here: europe doesn’t have a lot of opened positions in science, even ignoring the fact that tons of science facilities require expensive low-volume stuff (biolabs/cyclotrones/high-precision mechanics/lasers/electronics etc), so expanding them is not that easy as just creating positions meow-floppy have there been some noises from eu of increased grant funding or something?

- Comment on Will The Hunt for Gollum really be two movies? That’s got to be a stretch 8 months ago:
But don’t forget to spend half a year to make a cover story by buying house near the woods, good cover is very important or nazgul nsa will look at spending records and realize you are gone (thus you have a ring, according to statistical models)
- Comment on Will The Hunt for Gollum really be two movies? That’s got to be a stretch 8 months ago:
Nah, that’s a period when gandalf fucked off for 17 years (in books) (or 2 minutes of montage to library in movie) to find what the ring was and returned to shire to make frodo go away

It can be used to spy on any decent scientist who will send papers his/hers/theirs institution has access to, but their friend doesn’t. Much fun. As a reminder, publishers don’t pay reviewers, don’t pay for additional research, editing is typically minimal, and research is funded publicly, so what they own is social capital of owning big journal
