🌌 we are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars

I looked it up and wow, that’s crazy. Messi is basically naturally domesticated. If the medical conditions are genetic, he could be the start of a lineage of house pumas.

Read-onlys be like Image while upvoting
- Comment on Caption this. 5 weeks ago:
The base pairs are off and that irritates me more than the art - at least that has the excuse of being evocative or something.
- Comment on How did people poop before smartphones were invented? 1 month ago:
I used to do that too! But living in Eastern Europe, our shampoo bottles had like twenty languages. I didn’t manage to learn any, but I did develop a sense of how closely related they were.

Microplastics!

Chameleon! Wartortle,
Mewtwo, Tentacruel, Aerodactyl,
Omanyte, Slowpoke…
That’s all I’ve got. I will shed a single tear in remembrance of happier days.
- Comment on Distribution of English Letters 2 months ago:
Damn this one’s good, I only noticed when scrolling back up.
- Comment on The UK section of my local supermarket is taking the piss 2 months ago:
Another clue it isn’t Quebec is that Quebec wouldn’t bother having a separate US section when the States are just a couple hours drive away.
- Comment on Moss 2 months ago:
You know what, the high arctic probably looks similar to that prehistoric moss-covered landscape. Because moss is pretty much the only thing that can survive there (and some very small plants).
- Comment on Larry and the Legend of the Ligand Key 2 months ago:
The joke would have worked a lot better if Larry’s friends were different shapes. There’s no visual reason why Larry is the only one that can act as the key.
- Comment on Tibetan Sand Fox 2 months ago:
When you do, please post a picture of her expression so we can compare with the fox’s.
- Comment on Becoming et al. 2 months ago:
No scholar would ever tell anyone else to become a scholar. More like “Run! Run while you can! Get away from this cursed existence!”
- Comment on Lichens are things 2 months ago:
Gotta love oligotrophy. Some lichens grow inside rocks… definitely can’t replicate that in a lab (although not for lack of trying).
- Comment on please be nice to retail workers 3 months ago:
That’s because the cost of living is a bitch. We may make 5x more but our bills might be 7x more than yours, so overall we’re worse off.
- Comment on I always order Popular Problem. 3 months ago:
I’m late to the thread but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for taking the time to write it all up! You’ve helped me understand a few things about abjads, which makes the original post even more hilarious.
- Comment on Measurements 4 months ago:
What is your professional opinion on decimal feet? I had to use such a measuring tape at work, it took me half a day to figure out what was going on with that abomination.
- Comment on Extinctions 6 months ago:
Agreed, look at all the natural variation that was lost. The newcomers don’t convey the same intensity of emotions.
P.S. “extant” means still in existence, I believe you meant “extinct” :)
- Comment on What a fun gi 6 months ago:
I’ve noticed that too! I wonder if it’s some sort of watermark generated either by the meme generator program or by the website hosting the image. Anything I see on FB, for example, has these weird artifacts, or even entire words blanked out or garbled.
- Comment on Calculus made easy 6 months ago:
Thank you for this beautiful example of using “defiantly” correctly!

Look up “thigh gap”. Not saying I agree with it, just that it’s a thing.
- Comment on puns 8 months ago:
The stupid terminology in immunology made me hate it so much, even though the actual mechanics are fascinating. At some point my brain just reached saturation with all the CD proteins. Enough is enough!!!
- Comment on I got this popup ad on my TV **while watching a DVD** 10 months ago:
Replace state-approved with corporation-approved and yeah, this is our world now.
