  If Gamepass canalized COD so much, why not just remove that from Gamepass instead of raising the price?

  Still wouldn’t have been good, but it would have been better than the crazy price hike.

  I don’t try to criticize people for pirating games. They’re expensive and a lot are greedy.

  What I do tell people though is support good games.

  If you end up playing a pirated game you really enjoy, you should try to support it if you can, even if it’s from one of the bigger publishers. It’s basically our only way to truly tell a publisher that we like something and to keep making it.

  Not counting un reasonably priced re-releases though. I totally get that (looking at you Nintendo for Galaxy 1+2)

  Still fucking sucks that secure boot is a requirement, but you can actually dual boot with it on, just requires some extra work. I’m doing it currently with Windows 11 and Fedora KDE so I can play BF6 with friends.

  Not related to the game above, but if anyone is interested in a large scale RTS I highly recommend Beyond All Reason. It’s open source and has a native Linux build as well.

  Sound mixing is just all over the place where I can’t reliably keep the sound at a single reasonable level, so I turn on subtitles and keep the volume lower so I don’t wake the entire house when there’s an action scene.

  I can’t speak for this controller specifically, but all of the 8bitdo controllers I’ve had seem to been fairly easy to get into and repair.

  Although it’s not as convient as the Pro 2, I wouldn’t say it’s not replaceable.

  As much as I like 8bitdo, I constantly had issues with my Pro 2. Hopefully this one is better.

  This is probably not to place to ask about getting a Nintendo console. Most people here are hardcore pc. (which is fine, but definitely biased).

  My personal recommendation is this:

  Do you want to play new Nintendo games? Get a switch 2.

  Want to older Nintendo games and multiplats? Get a steamdeck.

  I hope the steamVR client gets updated so I can use my quest 3 on it with the remote play app. One of the few things that keeps me dualbooting windows.

  They’re unfortunately not wrong. The generative stuff is only going to look better and better to a point where it would be very hard/impossible to tell.

  Monster Hunter Rise. World and Wilds are great too, but the multiplayer just isn’t as seamless when going through the main story.
