For those wondering, this literally happens in the corporate world where for whatever reason, there are either rules or laws that require other candidates be vetted even when you’re promoting from within. I’ve seen it first hand more than once.

I won’t lie, there is a LOT to learn. But if you do the tutorial intro, then follow the beggining journal quests, you’ll be able to enjoy the game without having to know everything.
I just started a couple weeks ago and I can say that the friendly and active community is what has kept me here. Wurm feels like the love-child of Everquest and a game like Valheim.
Exploration, survival, crafting, depth, community, and not being hand-held in a theme-park world is what attracts me to this one.

In Wurm Online, a few new deeds have gone up around Linton village on Xanadu, located in the center of the Free Islands. Local reception of the newcomers has been both welcoming and supportive.

When I was a kid I imagined that our universe and every galaxy in it make up a single atom in another, much larger universe.
That much larger universe, in turn, is also a single atom in a much larger universe. And so on…

I wish. Any morning where there isn’t a major catastrophe or some “fire” to put out is an excellent morning.
Zero notifications?! Don’t threaten me with a good time.

With my own money? Chrono Trigger, shortly after it was released in the US. Took a while to save up my meager allowance.
I was a tween, and it was very worth it.
- Comment on I love stardew valley. looking for an alternative that is made for controller experience. 9 months ago:
In my experience, most games that offer support for both are better with KB/M.
The KB/M vs Controller betterness ratio of a particular game tends to also scale up with the amount of controls required to play the game.
If you want a game that feels almost as good on the controller, find a simpler game with fewer controls.
As far as game recommendations: the wife and I have more hours into Stardew Valley than I’ll publicly admit, and other games we enjoy that work well with controllers are Luma Island, Dinkum, and Plate Up.
A side note: If you’re chasing the magic that is Stardew Valley, you aren’t going to find it elsewhere. Be open to a different kind of magic in these other games and you won’t be disappointed that it doesn’t hit like Stardew.

I’m enjoying the game. And yeah, a lot of cool folk work there. Sure a few suck, but there are a lot of neat humans that poured their heart into this game.
I also haven’t had a single issue on a two year old mid-tier laptop so i can’t empathize with the fuss over performance. I’m sure there are older machines out there that wont run it at 1000FPS or whatever.
At the end of the day, it’s a game. Calm tf down and play something else rather than raise your blood pressure over something so relatively trivial.
Deep breath people. It’s a game. Support it or don’t. Edginess not required for this decision.

Unless you’re using NVIDIA. Didn’t work out of the box for me and required a couple hours of fiddling. Mint worked seamlessly.

Just wanted to say you’re not alone here; this is the first time I’ve encountered a “laggy” post, and I was also wondering if it’s a boost issue due to all the images.

My wife and I play a lot of Civ 5 together. We recently got Old World on sale and have been enjoying it. It’s different from Civ in a lot of refreshing ways, but retains enough of the Civ vibe we really enjoy.
