- Comment on MP called up the goonsquad to terrorize his own constituent at 4AM for criticizing Israel 1 day ago:
I’d like to believe that but when I constantly see people get beat up there and arrested for supporting Palestine, and even for merely posting support for Palestine online, reality tells a different story. You’re right that people oppose it, but clearly not enough. They just got done last week that they plan to ban minors from things like YouTube. The government there has become very authoritarian.

Something is seriously wrong with UK. The monarchy could murder a Palestinian baby live on national television and people in the UK would go on and on about how majestic it was, how they did it with such grace and impeccable poise.
- Comment on In a state that offers legal aid is it worth it? Or is it pretty much the bottom of the barrel for defense and compensation? 1 week ago:
Generally no you should never put your trust in any attorney, even the ones you pay. But if you don’t know what you’re doing and not willing to spend the time, then then any attorney is better than making a fool of yourself.
- Comment on In a state that offers legal aid is it worth it? Or is it pretty much the bottom of the barrel for defense and compensation? 1 week ago:
Not really. It depends if you’re willing to understand the legal framework and process, and adequately research case law… and have some money and time. The more you learn the easier it is to predict what legal arguments or defenses the other side will make before they even make them.
Criminal cases are obviously different but in most prosecutors are already understaffed, so if you don’t roll over for them and do the things an actual descent attorney would do, then a public defender isn’t automatically better. A public defender will almost always try to get you to to take the very first plea offer. Rarely do you even get one that actually fights for their clients, especially when there is an injustice.
But you must commit the time and it is exhausting mentally. I’d almost always rather pay for an attorney, but there have been times when the attorneys said no, and I knew the attorneys were wrong. In both instances I won major cases by myself and even had opposing counsel try to recruit me at their firm afterwards saying they’d pay for me to get a law degree.

It will cause more safety issues as people turn to black markets. Bans like this often backfire. Positive reinforcement & proper health services is what gets people to make healthier choices.

Do you think they care? These people are able to resign & go to the country they serve & get a freshly stolen Palestinian property. They’ll be countless more ready to do it all over again.

In telling you now you need to unionize everything you can. Unionize as renters, residents, neighbors, whatever you can. Demand the same rights as labor unions. It terrifies them more than anything. It bypasses the political bullshit.
- Comment on Officials Concede They Don’t Know the Fate of Iran’s Uranium Stockpile 11 months ago:
I assume that they don’t tell you about it cause they’re lying & their objective is provocation to justify further action. Both Trump & Netanyahu have proved to be narcissists. They have spy planes, radiation detectors, you name it. If they ever had proof they would have provided it already.

- Comment on My mom tells me I should cut dad off for cheating on her, am I a bad person for not wanting to do so? 1 year ago:
No you’re not wrong for wanting to keep your dad in your life. Any reputable family counselor would say your mom shouldn’t be asking you to pick a side. Your mom does need support though, but it isn’t your job. What your dad did sounds really hurtful to her, as it would be for most people. Maybe he is your best friend, but being a parent is more than being a friend. It means being a role model & wanting to teach things like honesty & respect, especially for the people you’re supposed to love.
Has your dad offered to pay for counseling for you to process these things & talk to a professional about? It sounds like you could probably use it. I don’t know how old you are, but given that you’re asking the question here & the way you’re asking leads me to believe you’d be much better off talking to a professional about it.

Trump’s threats mean nothing. Prices are going up & billionaires are making more than ever. Remember he gave the biggest wealth transfer to the rich during COVID. That is what you’re seeing happening.

If course they are. Travel across state lines to murder people in Congress & overthrow Democracy on behalf of Trump and they’ll pardon you & claim you’re the victim. We really are on the verge of a civil war if we hope to have any resemblance of democracy left, but I think the idea we ever had a democracy was prob a lie.

- Comment on low iq in love with high iq person, is that bad?? 1 year ago:
I hate to admit it but seeing your post about IQ and then say, “I’m not going to sugar code it” had me laughing. People grow & change, and each person has their own talents. I am on the higher end of IQ but at the same time I struggle a lot with friendships. I have a hard time doing tasks that I see as menial like laundry, dishes, etc. I also struggle with a lot of artistic or creative tasks. My kids’ mom even though we’re not together anymore, she definitely would have been on the lower end. However, in many ways she’s managed to do a lot more than me. She’s able to make friends easier. She is able to conform to society and just gets things done that I struggle with. She also is very creative when it comes to projects & decorating. IQ is just a number, unless you’re under like 55. Often relationships are about finding people that balance you out too. I could never date someone that is a lot like me. I get on my own nerves.
