Sure, but more pizza places than people doesn’t seem feasible. It would require something like everyone in NYC works multiple pizzerias by themselves.
- Comment on Day one and done 1 week ago:
From a blogpost i found there are aparently some 70-ish pizzerias per person in NYC, whereas there are 400+ per person in sweden
There are more pizzerias than people? Or is it 70 people to each pizzeria in NYC and 400 people to each in Sweden?

North America and South America are 2 continents. What definition are you using that has them as one?

There’s something to the aerodynamic profiles though. Less surface area results in less force being applied. So a flat sheet of paper falls slower than that same sheet crumpled up. The things mentioned are light and have lots of surface area for the wind to apply force to.

Nah man. TBIs can totally mess with your whole personality, cognitive abilities, everything to do with your brain. Maybe if you only get one traumatic event, it might not have the same consequences, but guys like Rogan and football players are repeatedly bashing their brains leading to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.

And it’s not like we don’t love other fungus. Any yeasty bread contains fungus (yeasty breads include most nonquick beads or flat breads and like cinnamon rolls or pizza crust).

Most researchers I know welcome difficult questions. Like that’s the whole game. Finding the difficult questions about your work and answering them.

A permit is a learner’s license, and it looks like you can get them starting at 15 in Oregon, which is the case in most states.

Oil doesn’t fix alignment of gears. Ideally, you need to precisely go in and realign the exact gear. But we don’t have that power. So we’re throwing rocks.

People generally expect you to have an excuse, though. Otherwise, you get your one baby shower (only the first baby!) and anything else is tacky. I think that’s why gender reveals caught on so fast. The parents and, maybe, grandparents are grasping at excuses to celebrate. And why people find them so cringe in general. Everyone else is a bit annoyed you’re getting more than your one party.
- Comment on Let's goooooo 3 months ago:
I’m not sure your explanation really argues that gender is entirely a social construct. You identify strongly as being a woman. It doesn’t matter how many things you do that society views as masculine. You innately feel like a woman. So it isn’t an identity that society really defines. There’s something more to it.

It isn’t since herculean task unless you have bad social anxiety. Mentioning it at the customer service desk as you walk in to do your shopping is probably less effort than taking a picture and positing it here.

Even for the morning after pill, the main mechanism is to prevent/delay ovulation that cycle. It can reduce the likelihood of implantation, but it’s less effective at that mode of prevention. And if the embryo already implanted, it will do nothing.

Vaccines!
Party all summer. Oh wait, variants.
I personally got my PhD and moved states to start at my new job. So it was a busy year for me.

Just because they don’t personally feel a way doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate those who do. I personally don’t want to study physics, but I can find Feynman’s pursuit of it inspiring. I don’t personally have the BFF relationship with my mom, but I find it great that some people do. Etc etc.

So, like, you never appreciate anyone for their skills? Fake eyelashes aren’t painful. But putting them on takes technical skill.

It takes a lot of makeup to create a look where a bunch of guys think there’s no make-up.

I remember being like 15 and thinking it was absolutely ludicrous anyone could just have children. It came up in the context of people my age having a baby and some of the things my mom dealt with as a social worker. It took a lot longer to really understand why it needs to be that way.

Yes, transcripts are rare. No one really cares what your grades were as long as you get the degree. Checking that you got the degree you claimed you did is not rare. But you don’t have to do anything extra to prove that; it’ll show up in the background check that pretty much every employer runs.
- Comment on The unemployment cycle 7 months ago:
Where? I can think of one that had a university satellite campus for a handful of programs. But those were the only 4 year degrees and they were still through a university and had university pricing.

Magazines aren’t involved ads in places other than their magazine. Google powers ads placed on websites that are not owned by Google. The equivalent would be something like Time being responsible for random billboards.

People are talking about going to AA just for the sobriety coins. I don’t think they’re actually doing it earnestly because they really have a problem they want AA to help them with. So nothing actually “landed” them there.
