- Comment on What movies have you watched this week? 6 days ago:
Saw Thunderbolts in theaters, better than the last few of these MCU movies. I liked it.
Also rewatched all of Henry Selleck’s movies, except for Wendell and Wild which I need to watch tonight, which is
- Nightmare Before Christmas
- James and the Giant Peach
- Monkeybone
- Coraline
Coraline is a masterpiece, especially in 3D. I broke out my Index HMD to watch it, which was fun.

I have a role of these. My girlfriend at the time bought a couple and proceeded to put them on my toothbrush, several knives, and a bunch of my tools. They’re almost never not funny.

Brains are often irrational. I have a deep distrust of the electric can opener; I’m always worried it will bite me or something. I have had this irrational fear since I was very young. I have no experience with anyone being harmed by an electric can opener and I’m unaware of any instances of them causing injuries, ever. I know, rationally, that there’s no danger. But fuck that thing.

I rewatched all 4 Matrix movies over the weekend. I still think Resurrections is very good, and Revolutions is better than people give it credit for. Battle for Zion is too long though.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Forever. We’re doing all of them. Not looking forward to Batman & Robin up next, lol

+5 comedy points, I chuckled.

I met Maurice LeMarche at comic con way back in maybe 2002 or so at the Futurama panel and got him to record the Brain’s “Yes!” And also “Oh, what luck! I’ve got a French fry caught in my beard!” as Orson Welles from the Critic onto my Palm Pilot, lol. Used them as ringtones for years. Very nice guy.
- Comment on EXCLUSIVE - Ubisoft is Developing a Turn-Based Tactics Game Set in The Rainbow 6 Universe 5 weeks ago:
Isn’t the “Rainbow Six Universe” just, like, the regular world? I haven’t played an R6 game in more than a decade, but I remember the draw being realism.
- Comment on What is the best political movie? And what is the best apolitical movie? 5 weeks ago:
All art is political.

I was 13 and The Simpsons were very important to me and my best friend at the time, we were big comedy nerds. We were stoked for this show, I think we went to his house to see the premiere. It didn’t disappoint, and Futurama continues to be my favorite show of all time. That friend ended up being a reasonably successful comedy writer, unlike me, lol.
Feels like a long time ago now. Oh, I made myself sad.

Lynch’s Dune, for sure. Doesn’t get much more 80s.

Wheeljack here fucked me up as a kid. He was my favorite from the show.

You are not alone. This movie has been a constant point in my 38 years. The soundtrack was the first CD I owned. I’ve got a Deception tattoo. I just watched it last week. Always hits.
- Comment on Do you have any recommendations for casual games? 4 months ago:
Things can get rough but I play mostly to have thriving communities with social drama. Deaths happen but that’s part of the challenge. Turn down the difficulty and play it like The Sims, it’s surprisingly chill.

It’s a mutation, happens rarely. I’ve had a couple of plants do it in the 5 or so years I’ve been growing.

My car is old enough to have a tape deck. Also old enough that I can fix pretty much anything that goes wrong, and unless I crash it, I fully intend to own it until I die. New cars are for chumps.

Lol I literally have never seen it. I do like that you can basically shuffle the words and they are all equally stupid sounding:

- Spirit, Cimmiron of the Stallion

- Comment on A Disco Elysium successor studio has been announced for the second time today, meaning there are now 4 companies battling for the title of ZA/UM's true inheritor 6 months ago:
Oh yeah, for sure. Don’t get me wrong, I hope these are good. I liked John Henry Irons, Superboy, and Eradicator as well, lol. Just not the original, and need to be able to stand on their own. I desperately want more games like DE but what I don’t want is a bunch of bad actors churning out bad clones sold on someone else’s good reputation. Not that I’m accusing any of these games of that, just that given ZA/UM’s current situation, it’s hard not to worry.

And similarly, all 4 of these are not the real deal. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for more games like this and I hope they’re good, but I will wait until Kurvitz and Rostov to be at the helm again before getting too excited.
