- Comment on Why can ballpoint pens fail permanently when they still have so much ink left? 53 minutes ago:
I know that you can use a cigarette lighter, very briefly, to burn off the stuck-on ink off the ball… otherwise the ball will pop out because the ink behind it turns to steam, I assume.
I believe there’s a chemical (maybe isopropyl alcohol?) That you can apply to the ball to dissolve the ink as well.

women’s pants typically don’t have pockets, so you’d get NO notification.
- Comment on Why dont hackers just do white-cap hacking and figure out loopholes in valuable companies' stuff and use their fiduciary duty as a legal basis to compel patronage of their services? 5 weeks ago:
IIRC, there’s an investment group that does a version of this - they short the stock then release and publicize the information.

- Comment on How far away are we from someone using AI to create an animated TV show by themselves. 2 months ago:
Not all of this, you have some points in here (smart TVs are worth mentioning), but a lot of this is elsewhere, too, though. And was done before AI. A LOT of things are in public records, for instance. Yes AI and interconnectedness it makes it easier, but this is nothing knew. And the fact that they’re still this bad at targeted ads means there’s still hope.

I think I’ll have to do a modified version of that, Imposter Syndrome where half of you is in a suit and the other half is sweats and a t-shirt. “Hi my name is” “how others see you”/“how you see yourself”

- Comment on Is there a name for the trope where a story is high fantasy at first glance, except for it's not fantasy and is actually set in a post-apocalypse dystopian future? 3 months ago:
Yeah, Sanderson earned the cred on the original trilogy. It’s a fantasy series, but the magicians are basically Jedi. Great stuff!

Odd recommendation from a friend’s doctor after said friend passed a stone: drink a beer a day. He said lemons helped (lemonade, lemons in tea) but the beer was 100% from what the doc had seen. And no, I don’t know why or what kind.
