Provide opertunity, there’s always going to be hold outs but we take away royalty payments send that money to the community tax mining apropoatly and provide jobs.
If you don’t want to share in modern Australia and all it uas to offer then live your traditional life but don’t come in wanting bits and pieces.
We’re all here together so let’s act like it

As an Aboriginal man who’s grandmother was stolen, I think we really should just bridge this divide and move on as one country.
We certainly also need to bring living standards up for everyone to be equal though.

Yeah my brother is a plumber, he says jt has its upsides and down sides. I’m a diesel mechanic neither of us are ever scratching for work.
The real downside though is I’m in my 30s and my body is falling apart due to being big and dumb in my late teens early 20s moving heavy shit by hand.
The physicality of the job does take its toll on the body especially joints like knees and elbows.

In Australia we are screaming out for trades people.
It’s not desk work it’s outside in the heat and cold keeping the world going.
And I think it’s a while off before Ai is replacing your ceiling fans and lights or plumbing repairs and fixing cars and machinery.
Not to mention it pays reasonably well

At 22 I thought I had it all figured out.
Now coming up on 32 I look back and think geeze what a dumb arse I was at times.
I’m sure when I’m 42 I’ll think I was dumb now, but a lot had maturing happened for me during my 20s. I would hold off until 30s at least

Are you a woman and is that USD?
The most I’ve ever paid was $65AUD for a hearcut and beard trim in a mining town where the majority earned over 200k a year

It’s not really the solution, but i find it helps me.
The task you have on the weekend if it’s possible just do 15 minutes after work towards it, after 4 days you have racked up an hour towards it giving you back an hour.
Obviously 1 hour isn’t massive but if you put away just some clothes Monday, then washing on Tuesday etc it’s one less task to tackle come the weekend
