Nope. None of the jobs I’ve worked ever offered it, never had the budget for it. All my medical costs have been covered out of pocket.

When I broke and dislocated my arm a few years ago, four months’ worth of hospital visits drained over $2,000 from my bank account, was draining hundreds from my brother’s account, and then the week before Christmas I got hit with a bill for over three thousand dollars to cover the rest of the services rendered, due Christmas eve.
The services that were rendered included having my arm eyeballed by a doctor a few times, two xrays, and that’s it. Nothing for the pain (“Just mix ibuprofen and Tylenol”), nothing to rehabilitate the strength I lost in that arm, just some dick in a coat poking my arm and charging me hundreds for the opportunity.
Had I not gone to the hospital, I wouldn’t have been left penniless. Combine that with a severe anxiety disorder and now I feel fight-or-flight fear responses any time I have to spend more than $100 on something.
Oh yeah, then a few months after that a friend of mine elsewhere in the country fell ill. He didn’t think it was major enough to warrant hospital fees, especially since he was uninsured and made little money. About a week later his condition suddenly went critical, and the next evening his sister informed me that he was dead in the hospital. Leukemia. I’d still be talking to him if it weren’t for the American wealthcare system.

A lot of the metros look copy and pasted; whole hallways, rooms, so it gets a little confusing.

Athens Porchfest in Georgia is like that. It’s noon to 8 pm and it’s about 200 bands performing on over 100 front porches across multiple neighborhoods - for free.

EA sucks balls, but this is one objectively good move from them. It’s worth noting, especially from a games preservation perspective.
- Comment on Spotify Premium "Ad Free" plan 4 months ago:
Last I’d used Tidal it was still glitchy, missing artists I fancy, with incorrect dates and covers for a number of other artists I like. I’m still on Spotify for now, but with ad-free clients on both my phone and laptop. Is Tidal any better than it was 4 years ago?

- Comment on Why So Many Video Games Cost So Much to Make 5 months ago:
Zortch is a neat one, less Quake and more early 2000s FPS feel. Pre-Doom 3, pre-HL2 in gameplay, but with the style of comedy and charm you’d get out of a Shiny Entertainment game. Very much a solo labor of love, and it’s only like $5 if memory serves me right.

- Comment on Bumper sticker 6 months ago:
Far from the most egregious example, but I was hanging out at a buddy’s place one day, and given the parking situation, a couple of our cars were awkwardly parked on the side of the road. It wasn’t much a problem for drivers, but we were both illegally parked according to the law, both taking up similar amounts of road space, with both cars being roughly the same size.
The only car that was ticketed was the car with the trans flag bumper sticker.
Cops are certainly bothered by their existence, at least here in the southeast.
Ask a trans person, they’re going to have at least one story of somebody taking issue with them existing while trans. Usually multiple.

If I had a dollar for every FPS game taking place in 80s Czechoslovakia, I’d have two dollars. That’s not much, but it’s weird it’s happened twice.

The game doesn’t support DirectX 12 because the game is younger than DirectX 12.

Yes, and the reasoning behind why it’s considered such is also detailed in the link itself. I figured I’d leave that link as a way for folks to read into it and learn where the claim originated from.
