No OP, but I’m thinking they mean a pharmacy that is not owned by a chain like Walgreens or CVS. Locally own pharmacies are usually owned by one person or a family and they specialize in compounding medications. That’s when they make medications for specific customers that have unique needs, which interestingly, includes pets 🐶🐱. Try searching for a “compounding pharmacy” near you or ask a veterinarian clinic if they know of one. I’m sure they’ll be happy to answer that iver the phone even if you’re not a current customer.

- Comment on Pheidippides, if anyone was wondering. 6 months ago:
Fun facts!
Origin
The name Marathon comes from the legend of Pheidippides, the Greek messenger. The legend states that, while he was taking part in the Battle of Marathon, which took place in August or September 490 BC,[3] he witnessed a Persian vessel changing its course towards Athens as the battle was near a victorious end for the Greek army. He interpreted this as an attempt by the defeated Persians to rush into the city to claim a false victory or simply raid,[4] hence claiming their authority over Greek land. It was said that he ran the entire distance to Athens without stopping, discarding his weapons and even clothes to lose as much weight as possible, and burst into the assembly, exclaiming “we have won!”, before collapsing and dying.[5]
Modern Olympic marathon
When the modern Olympics began in 1896, the initiators and organizers were looking for a great popularizing event, recalling the glory of ancient Greece. The idea of a marathon race came from Michel Bréal, who wanted the event to feature in the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens. This idea was heavily supported by Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympics, as well as by the Greeks.[15]

Yep! I was worried when they told me. Having high cholesterol at 37/38 is a bad sign of what’s to come. I’m happy it was situational rather than permanent.

This is me. I’ve never said, “This is too much garlic.”
Fun fact: I tend to get obsessed with eating the same thing for months. One of those obsessions was kettle-cooked salt & vinegar chips. I’m talking about a large bag before bed every 2 days. I did this for about 3-6 months. During that period, I had a regular primary care check up with routine blood work. My cholesterol came back terrible. My HDL was too low and LDL was too high. It was so bad that the doctor told me that they were putting me on Lipitor eventho I was in 37/38 years old and otherwise athletic shape.
I argued with the doc explaining that I could fix it on my own with diet. We negotiated and the compromise was that I had 3 months to fix it. In 3 months, we would run blood work again. If it was still high, Lipitor time. I cut off all chips and started eating raw garlic however I could with meals. I would mostly use a garlic press and marinate it in olive oil. Then, I would drip a lot of this on rice, beans, pasta, pizza… anything that would go good with raw garlic. When we ran the blood work again, I was in the clear with completely healthy cholesterol levels, both HDL and LDL.
I don’t know if the garlic had anything to do with it, or if it was merely just abstaining from the chips, but something worked. If you’re dealing with cholesterol issues and don’t want to be on meds, maybe consider eating raw garlic. It might help, and even if it doesn’t, it’s delicious 🤤

Actually, that is an inaccuracy. A child of Bart’s age likely wouldn’t have the strength to destroy a chair by slamming on their father’s head in the bath. And even if they were, the father would be severely injured if not unconscious or dead.

better make it one of those Voodoo Rangers with their wine level alcohol percentage. a 6 pack of those will kick my butt for the rest of the day before I even realize it. I’ll be like, “Hmm. This beer is pretty good despite it being fruity.” …5 mins later… “Omg, why am I so drunk? I need to go to bed.” …next morning… “What happened?”
