- Comment on Why do phone manufacturers use in-display fingerprint readers instead of fingerprint readers on the power button? 1 week ago:
Not an expert but I’d suppose it’s nothing more than marketing getting in the way and insisting on an over engineered solution because it’s flashy

- Comment on M*crosoft's search engine is borderline unusable 2 weeks ago:
No that’s very true, I had it look up leather repair shops not too long ago and it listed six completely fictional shops with fully fleshed out trip-advisor style blurbs for each one. It was hilariously convincing and a complete waste of my time. But it does seem like that happens less and less lately.
- Comment on M*crosoft's search engine is borderline unusable 2 weeks ago:
I’m extremely wary and nervous about how disruptive LLMs can/will be but one relief is just getting an answer directly for things instead of wading through page after page of SEO optimized BS. Just really nice when you can get a quick answer and get back to the things you want to be doing.
I suppose the AI overlords will screw that up somehow too but IMO it’s at a brief moment of usefulness.

I wonder how many songs they licensed are by artists that would actually need that kind of exposure.

That’s the one thing I finally learned with the DLC that I should have learned long before this - leaving and coming back later instead of fighting and dying to a tough boss 30 times in a row

Huh, is this maybe the newer Tomb Raider?
I’d do this too but every screenshot I posted would just be Elden Ring.

No wonder either, there are strangely few games meant just for the new system, and it’s been out for several years.
- Comment on Glenn Greenwald and Alan Dershowitz Debate Bombing Iran [01:51:12 | May 24 24 | ReasonTV] 3 months ago:
The problem with Greenwald is that he seems to have staked his whole reputation on being anti-status quo instead of pro-truth, which has already put him on the wrong side of history on a number of issues.

- Comment on Nature Valley: 10 bars in 5 packs 4 months ago:
Nah the secret is to push just enough out of the wrapper to have a bite and let the crumbs fall down into the wrapper, and repeat until you only have crumbs. Same with the second bar. Then just pour the crumbs into your mouth.

- Comment on When did breasts become a thing that needed to be concealed in public and why? 5 months ago:
Isn’t the breastfeeding function part of the reason breasts are sexualized? In other words - biologically males seek a female that can provide for her offspring so there’d be an evolutionary advantage for women who can at least appear to be able to do so.

- Comment on How One Modder changed Watch_Dogs Forever 5 months ago:
I liked Legion and have a likely unpopular opinion that they did cyberpunk better than Cyberpunk did. The sandbox world of hacking and controlling different things was fantastically fun. I really wished at least that self-driving cars would have made it to Cyberpunk too. That was a blast.
Didn’t like the story or writing too much tho and the voice acting was horrendous which is obvously where Cyberpunk excels.
