I would think that’d be pretty tough!
- Comment on Why are cassette and CD players so bulky now? 1 day ago:
TL;DW: because they all use the only mechanism that is still in production. It’s not a good as the top of the line from 2000, but it’s way cheaper than rolling your own from scratch.

- Comment on Why is voting before the deadline in US elections referred to as 'early voting'? 3 weeks ago:
I agree with everything you wrote. Many countries have election holidays plus mandatory voting. That seems to work reasonably well, though you’d need to allow for people who can’t get off of work that day.

Yeah, it’s a thorny issue.

I’m always astonished when I see people add lighting to a figure/scene by piling on lighter and lighter colors. It’s mind-blowing to me how artists can figure out how to fake light with colors!
- Comment on Is my reaction weird? 3 weeks ago:
By thinking sexy thoughts, sure. Probably not everyone, as I’m sure some people are more physically aroused than mentally.

I mean, I think that’s a reasonably common position on the left. Not particularly unusual.

Fish cakes sounds likely, but I remember eating lots of pre-prepared Chicken Cordon Bleu that looked a lot like that.

That first link… Mr. Sibu is so cool! It’s a very different way of living than any I’ve seen before. I don’t think it’s as doable in the suburbs of the U.S. as it is in a proper city.
Does make me think just how much junk I have cluttering the place up. Hmm.
