Over the top premise, fantastical technology (ship armor is called UNOBTAIUM), some rough edges on the acting.
But I still love it dearly <3

It’s pretty wack that we haven’t since had a game that captures many of the better elements of Chrome hounds.

The lack of gameplay is fine, and very much important to call out for any new players. There’s a whole genre of “you’re playing a movie” that SOMA fits nicely into

It does have a couple sore points. The whole aimbots running rampant was awful. And it was one of the first major games to introduce and popularize micro transactions.

Yeah oak breaks down slowly. You can mow it in fall to break it down faster.
But a better question is just… where do you actually need to rake? Obviously more wild/leaves = better, and you’ve already figured out where the leaves want to settle. Is that okay there? Or is it a used part of your lawn that you should just rake?
- Comment on *No.* 1 month ago:
Depends on the leaf. Oak?

It is better than turf, but I’m not talking about grass lawns, I’m talking about plants like for a garden. It’s better to have more garden plant masses, less grass lawn.
Most people don’t need as much lawn as they have and reducing down to more what you actually use is great, but it’s totally situational.
If you wanted a NorthEast suggestion for general ground cover I’d say wild strawberry. But if it’s like … Lawn then just stick with what you’re doing.

Native plant patches can also absorb some of the harmful crap like pesticides to a degree. It does help.

Unfortunately, naturalized plants are not good. It’s a scale, with invasive plants being extremely bad. Naturalized plants aren’t as bad. But still bad
In the end, our native insects rely on native plants (with extremely few exceptions to not be distracted by). A native plant can support hundreds or even thousands of species.
A non native / naturalized plants cannot support even a fraction of that. They can also support… Non native insects. Which in turn fuck up the ecosystem, either by displacement or direct damage.
I’m not gonna tell you to rip out naturalized plants like clover. I’m not gonna say you should destroy your garden. You should just know that native plants are superior in literally every possible way, and your NEXT plant choices should be as native as you can get :)
- Comment on We are so cooked 2 months ago:
Plant native. Plants that are native to your ecosystem. Those are the true pollinator powerhouse plants that bees need to survive

Totk is… more of an expansion/dlc than a sequel. Even the intro has near identical beats. The map is literally re used.
Fun game still.

I love love love perfect dark. But it’s uhhh it does not hold up. The campaign starts fairly strong and craters pretty quick. It really feels like they just weren’t able to really… Finish the game when it came out.
Also, like GoldenEye, a huge component of Perfect Dark was multiplayer.

Old XCOM also likes to bend you over and fuck you over a lot. And that’s the way we liked it!

It depends on the area. English Ivy is not native to the US, and it can fucking suck. It can easily take over entire areas. Since it re roots itself, it’s awful to remove.
It’s great in it’s native environment
Just… don’t use it in the US. Plant natives plants. There are lots of incredible native vines.
- Comment on fight fire with napalm 4 months ago:
Plants can be more aggressive just by nature.
Generally, it’s probably more location dependent. Concord grape (a cultivar of fox grape) is native to eastern US gobotany.nativeplanttrust.org/…/labrusca/
So if you’re in this area it may not be a big deal.
Virginia Creeper is also native to that area, and folks consider it a weed because it grows fast. Even though it’s native, and the colors slap in the fall.
Keep your concords
