- Comment on How would society look like with no companies at all and every single thing is free? 4 days ago:
Depends on what stage its at. If you were to somehow manage the shit show of surviving through the beginning times and actually establish a system that works and one not ran by cult leaders then a free trade system could look really nice. The other problem with this would be the more people involved the more there may be people that disagree with this system since no matter what everyone has different opinions on what they want even if its a fully functional system. I also fear that ultimately, just as it is today, we would still be full of problems that most likely stem from world leaders that have to much power and fuck it all up for the rest of us.

Hmm i didnt think of that! About 10 years before my wife would be there. Maybe then we won’t fight about the room temperature everyday.

I believe slow cooked bbq and smokers will aim for temps between 225 and 275 Fahrenheit. Sure it will take a while, but as long as the temp reaches the internal temp of 160 during this process, which it will, it’s perfectly fine.
- Comment on Does the engine a game uses factor into your decision to buy it or not? 1 week ago:
No, maybe it’s because im older and never really got into the trends of caring about stuff like that. I just can’t see how the engine should matter. Either way to me if the game sucks and somehow it was due to limitations then thats still on the game since they picked to go with it to begin with.

Not that i stopped, and would absolutely have either if the opportunity ever presented its self again (probably not). I found that the older you get in general just makes it harder since, at least in my experience, you have way more to worry about that eats at you. Closer to death, more health issues, money could be worse than before, wife/husband and possibly kids to worry about. Stupid things i did in my early 20’s would never fly today just because I think things through way more and realize how bad those things were back then lol. Thankfully the few times i was able to do these things were all great experiences despite that, and its most likely to being with good friends who also joined.

Idk about the pills, but my wife has been on the shot since last year and it was $25 a month on my particular insurance plan in the US. This year insurance got worse and plan cost went up drastically. I now pay $50 a month, although we recently changed to get a 3 month supply and that came to $100 for the 3 months. Sounds ok i guess, but my insurance alone costs like $1400 a month or almost $17k a year… i would much rather pay $150 a month and save the 17k a year.

You forgot one more thing, they still have not changed their model. Instead of investing some of that money into attempting to create new good games, they only seem interested in buying other games that they feel will make them money. Instead of doing the work, they would rather just buy up properties that look promosing. Here’s looking at you Fall Guys.

- Comment on What are your hallmark games? What games have shaped how you view games? 3 weeks ago:
Your not old, your me!. Most of these plus some others definitely, plus a bunch of modern ones as well. Shocked you only liked Half-Life 1 and not 2. I thought 2 was mind blowing at the time and still feel like it’s the first game to bring us into the modern era of games to this day.

- Comment on Crimson Desert's PS5 Physical Edition Won’t Run Without 48GB Day-One Download 4 weeks ago:
Nothing new. The timeline for physical games being created is always several months prior to release using the final build at the time. The only confusing part seems to be that the game can be used offline until a new patch? If the system is not online at all how will it know a new patch exists? If the game checks in when booted then thats not offline either.

This is one of the few good things having the same job for 20 years has been. Never needing to create a linkdin account. I’ve been told in the past it’s still good to have, but i think that period of time is long gone. Glad i never gave them my info and time.

- Comment on Are achievements still relevant in 2026—especially when mods disable them? 5 weeks ago:
Makes no difference to me. I don’t mind them either way, but considering how they do nothing to effect the game i would say keep them. If anything they serve a purpose of statistics and possibly how far you are into a game. Considering i have never played a game with mods they are never disabled for me either. Ive been there when they started which i think was the year after the PS3 launched so 2007 or 2008 when the update came to introduce them. Its pretty cool seeing almost 20 years worth of that data on what i did and in what year i did it.
- Comment on Are achievements still relevant in 2026—especially when mods disable them? 5 weeks ago:
I did the same thing even on my PS5. Saved the file like normal which saved to the cloud, then i disabled cloud saving and proceeded to do everything else off that save to get each ending and then copy that cloud save back down overriding my local save. I was shocked it worked so well. I think i ran into 1 issue with getting all the weapons since 1 could not be obtained again in the first play through but i had my friend join my game and he gave me the weapon and laughed when we realized it worked. I love that i not only beat that game but also got every achievement, so i guess that means i do enjoy them.
- Comment on Xbox as a platform is officially dead 5 weeks ago:
Once we created standards to create everything we see today it became to expensive to invest in alternative home grown solutions. Sadly with the focus of maximizing profit over innovation most ideas just revolve around the existing infrastructure in place to do what they want. I hate it as well and everything feels very stagnant.

- Comment on Is there any reason not to charge my laptop with a USB C phone charger? 1 month ago:
I have done this for years now and seen no problems. I have a Lenovo from my job and it can use and 85 watt charger for steady charging but my 4 bank phone charger is a 100 watt charger with the highest port charging at 65 watt if only 1 device is plugged in. It does fine with this, but i do get the message in windows stating slow charge. I only use this on trips to avoid taking more things than i have to.

That was me. Around 2009 I remember first hearing about it and trying to buy it and quickly realizing it wasnt that easy and seemed sketcky so i just said whatever… i wonder what I would have done if I did.
My 18 was also way before (2000) this so i hope i remember it for that long. And honestly life was good up until 2009 so i wouldnt really change any of that anyway. 2009 on could have used some improvements…

- Comment on Iran Retaliates Against Multiple U.S. Military Facilities in Middle East | NBC 1 month ago:
I woke up to live news talking to someone in Iran, I think the prime minister? And they were all over him saying stuff like why are you attacking US bases? With attitude in their voice and he was flabbergasted and was like uhh you attacked us what do you expect us to do? He then said you know this right? How would you not know this and what do you expect us to do?
The US is just a propaganda machine, im shocked they didnt just cut it when he was responding since it definitely didnt make us look good and was also very easy to tell we are the enemy.
