Well actually, not that shocked.

You know you can edit those entries and add an identifier, right?

Can you still play it? Been a while since I’ve played but last I knew the expeditions were limited-time thingies.

I actually liked the 2016 movie. I kinda wished they would have pivoted off of that an continued on. Instead they pretended it didn’t exist.
That’s simply my $0.02 though.
- Comment on Yeah UPS, that's proof 1 month ago:
It’s really hit and miss though, at least where I am. Amazon does it probably 75% of the time. UPS and FedEx are both maybe like 30% of the time. I don’t know if the shipper has to flag the package to have a picture taken or the drivers just don’t give a fuck most of the time.

I’m a cloud engineer working with a team across the US and a development team in India. My closest co-worker is my boss that brought me on-board and a quick 20 minute drive away. He’s the anomaly.
The next closest I believe would be 3 states away. If for some reason I was to be in an office, my day would literally be unchanged. It would be me working in the cloud (which isn’t location-dependent) and me on Teams/Zoom meetings with my co-workers.
If a job can be done remote, it’s dumb to require in-person work. This is doubly true if they wouldn’t see their co-workers face-to-face anyway.

Do you have any data to back any of that up? Cause the data, by in large, contradicts that: computerworld.com/…/why-return-to-office-mandates…

I’m a current customer and still get shit like the frequently, usually they want me to add cable TV and/or phone to my internet-only package. It’s really obnoxious. You’d think after me ignoring it for 8 years they would give up but nope, still at least once a month one pops up in my mailbox.
- Comment on Watch a 13-year-old become the first person to ever beat Classic Tetris 4 months ago:
In this case, “beat” is causing the game to crash, lol. You can also roll the levels over (in theory) from 255 back to 0. The game gets glitchy at level 138 though so a human rolling over back to 0 seems fairly unlikely.

Correct, because they are incapable of actually thinking for themselves.

- Comment on A fair trade 4 months ago:
I’ll second this. I hate "normal "golf but Top Golf is pretty fun. I like being able to get food and drinks too. It is quite pricey though so I don’t go very often (unless someone else is paying, lol). The first time I tried it was a vendor-sponsored event and I was like “huh, that’s kinda fun actually.”

I like to go a step further and say “Per my email dated xx/xx/xxxx (attached)…”
Then attach a .eml file of referenced email. Yes, I’m that petty.

I have a small TV above my desk where I usually keep the security cameras around the house displayed. It’s perfect though for tracking nasty weather or watching things while I work.

So actively altering game code can be misconstrued as trying to cheat. Well consider me fucking shocked.

I love my Plex server. Right now I only have 2 concurrent streams running but I usually have 3-5. Remote users do take a hit because my 20Mbps upload isn’t fantastic but I’ve yet to hear a complaint, lol.
- Comment on What Amazon’s Pivot to Prime Video Ads Will Look Like 7 months ago:
Arrrr
Back in the day, I stopped pirating shit and had Netflix. That covered 95% of the content I wanted and was EASY. As more and more streaming services popped up and the prices increased while content floundered I’ve gone back to pirating. I’m not about to pay $100 a month for a handful of streaming services that can and will yank their content at any time. I really don’t WANT to do it this way, but it’s again easier and faster with more access to content if I sail the high seas. So here we are, full circle back to where the OG (pre-Netflix) cord cutters started.
- Comment on Amazon To Start Running Ads In Prime Video Series & Movies, Will Launch Ad-Free Tier For Extra Fee 7 months ago:
It’s crazy isn’t it? I canceled mine probably around the same time. Now I actually shop around online and either find a better deal or buy straight from the manufacture for the same price (meaning they end up with more money since Amazon doesn’t get a cut). Amazon is now my LAST resort instead of the first place I land.
- Comment on Stray is being turned into a movie 8 months ago:
I’m curious what the movie would contain that the game didn’t. The game was very linear and almost played like a movie itself. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a cat movie! Just curious how it will differ from the game.
