It also shows how detached some of these billionaires really are. A VR system is not yet affordable for the majority of Americans, and the technology has much more development to do before it's as widespread as video game consoles, never mind PCs.

Sort of. From what I’ve heard DDG can set up a tracking blocker that will block tracking attempts across your entire phone, but I don’t know exactly how it works.

You can avoid the risk of tax-funded journalism by making it so that even though they’re government subsidized they’re still independent. There are multiple potential ways to evaluate which journalistic entities qualify for government funding, all with pros and cons, but it could work.

This isn’t an auto-grat. The receipt explicitly says “This is not a tip or gratuity” and has a recommended tip line. This restaurant is either double-dipping to pay their employees less or scamming their customers.

More or less. It’s extremely douchy behavior but only indirectly harms the person that took the photo, so mildly infuriating feels about right.
