If you want Dolby Vision you’ll need a device like the Shield, Roku, Google Streamer… the codecs are locked to those devices for raesons

What you’re calling radioactive waste is a marketing term. In nuclear power it’s referred to as unspent fuel. We’re just getting to the point in our nuclear power technology to be able to use the rest of the “radioactive waste”. It’s why we don’t bury and seal off the storage sites. It’s still fissionable material with the right technology.
- Comment on can you help me formulate an answer to a colleague who is not my boss but feels entitled to tell me how I have to work? 8 months ago:
What’s wrong with that? You’re there to do a job. If somebody is making it difficult to do your job then it’s your manager or HR who is responsible for dealing with the matter. If all the coworkers know they’ll be adversarial about the tiniest personal conflict, they have more motivation to avoid it and remain professional.

A pizza oven hits 900F and space above to create a jet stream which cooks the toppings. You can get by with a regular oven but it wont be like a pizza from a pizza oven
- Comment on YOOOOOOOOOOOO 11 months ago:
Likely still a conventional oven that doesn’t have the temperature or airflow that a pizza oven does.

Maybe it’s where I live but most people don’t have pizza stoves or pizza ovens at home

- Comment on What is an average person living in the US supposed to do about corporations raising prices? 11 months ago:
The cost of ingredients have gone up anywhere from 75%-300% from corporate greed. Flour went from $1/Lb to $5/Lb. It’s actually cheaper in some cases to buy the mass produced version of things like bread.
TL;DR: You can only lower you consumption so much before you starve

How are you using 21kWh/day heating a small home? Do you have any insulation at all?

Protip for anybody who carries condoms:
The typical condom should ideally be kept for less than an hour in your wallet, pocket, or purse.
Condoms that are constantly moved or rubbed against each other can cause wear and tear, making them less effective. Extreme heat (around 104°F/40°C) can cause latex to become weak and sticky.
Not sure on the accuracy but it’s been good advice since at least the 90’s to not use a condom that has been kept in a wallet for more than a day.
