- Comment on The $700 price tag isn’t hurting PS5 Pro’s early sales 4 days ago:
Sony saw how much money people were willing to pay scalpers for the PS5 on launch and decided to cut the middleman this time

It makes more sense when we assume it’s software development terminology instead. Alpha means the software is immature and full of issues.
I am a release candidate male.

As a Vita fan, FUCK YOU Sony!
- Comment on Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D is out and it is beautiful 5 weeks ago:
I might pick it up in the near future. I don’t have much nostalgia for the NES Dragon Quest games, but this one looks amazing.
If they remake DQV and VI in this style I will buy it in a heartbeat! And yes, I know V had two remakes already, but none of them are available on a modern platform.

It’s possible to get the old InteliJ UI back. Search for the Classic UI plugin.

You must be confusing it with Lunacid

I recommend checking out Dread Delusion. It’s an indie open world game inspired by Morrowind.

I heard they are always trembling because they are too small to retain their body heat. And they are aggressive because everyone else is too big and scary.
These poor dogs literally spend most of their lives cold and terrified.

A few years ago, I gave up a job opportunity at Uber. The interview had a leet code step and no way I am spending Elden Ring’s launch week grinding leet code.

From my experience working for a management consulting firm. It’s more like everyone knows what the problems are and how to fix them, but they are too scared of screwing up to do something about it.
So they hire a consultancy company to tell them what they already knew and take the blame if something goes wrong.

That actually happened with a former coworker of mine, the clumsiest person I’ve ever met. (Me being the second one)
One of the bathrooms at the hotel we were staying at had a mirror covering the entire wall. Of course the clumsy guy tried to walk into the mirror, bashing his face. It was hilarious!

The best thing about this gen so far is the rise of handheld PCs, like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. I mostly play on the Deck nowadays, while the PS5 gathers dust.

If I didn’t, they would have figured it out before my first payment and I’d be fired on the spot without receiving a single penny.
- Comment on Should I quit my monthly expenses for alcohol? 1 year ago:
Perhaps they confused yearly with monthly.
Reminds of a funny story. Back when I was reviewing the contract for my current job, I noticed the HR lady confused my yearly salary with monthly. That meant they were going to pay me almost $100k per month if that contract was signed!
I pointed out the mistake three times and she insisted the contract was correct. I had to contact a company director to get it corrected.

Unfortunately, that’s a common thing in the gaming industry. Another example are the PS1 Final Fantasy games, they are stuck with those low res backgrounds and FMVs because Square Enix lost the original assets.
