If you want to experience frustration try getting your business verified on Facebook if Facebook haven’t already decided that your business needs to be verified.
All we want is to integrate WhatsApp with our support desk software but you can’t do that without your business being verified. It’s a b2b company so we have no use for Facebook other than for this purpose which means that they won’t flag us as needing verification and there’s no way to contact them about it.
- Comment on I was handed this lovely flyer while grocery shopping 3 weeks ago:
I like how page one says not to wear masks because they are bad put page 2 implies that you must wear a mask because getting the vaccine won’t allow you to not wear masks.
- Comment on I have unlimited cellular data on my phone but not if I use it as a hotspot. 1 month ago:
Yeah. You have unlimited data but they don’t want you to actually use that.
They take the risk that you’re not going to use more than they want you to from your phone but it is very likely that you’ll use it from your computer or if you connect multiple devices to your phone.
I find the idea to be reasonable because they can’t actually supply everyone with unlimited data but they really shouldn’t be calling it unlimited if there are any limits.
- Comment on Windows 10 and its shortage of "Never shove this screen in my face again" buttons 1 month ago:
If the computer is owned by a company or institution they shouldn’t see this anyway. They should either be using Microsoft work or school accounts or they should be using local accounts and the admin should set the required registry settings for them.
I think that they could be using their own computer but they have to use Windows to be able to use whatever Respondus is.
- Comment on What's your favorite game that you will NEVER finish? 4 months ago:
I used to like playing hard games but I’m done with them now. I don’t have the skill to complete them without putting a lot of time in and I don’t have the time anymore.
Returnal was fantastic and Sifu was even more fun but I’ll never finish either of them.
- Comment on I have to pay extra to remove ads from Prime Video 4 months ago:
It says in the email that you can pay extra for ad free.
- Comment on Chrome thinks Firefox is unsafe! 4 months ago:
At work, we subscribe to Microsoft Defender so that we get a centralised view of potential security issues on people’s computers.
It’s always saying that there’s something wrong with Chrome and it never alerts about the same issues that are almost certainly a problem with Edge.
That’s mildly infuriating too.

It was amazing on PSVR with the aim controller.
- Comment on What game did you last finish? What did you think of it? 5 months ago:
I’ve had a VR run recently and finished Red Matter 1, Moss 2 and Red Matter 2.
All excellent games.
- Comment on New Sony Patent Will Let You Replay A Game From Any Point Possible 5 months ago:
Yeah. I was just thinking that they were describing rogue like games.
- Comment on Restaurant Bill 5 months ago:
It says on the receipt that they use the service charge to post a higher wage so if that is true then it does (indirectly) go to the staff. Like you say though - there’s no guarantee that it all goes to the staff.
- Comment on OK Microsoft... trying to log into Teams while work lapop updates to Windows 11. No longer works in any iPhone browser, including Edge. The app will not authenticate my work login... 5 months ago:
The comment was that Teams was broken which implies that they have problems with it so I think that was the question.
- Comment on The Akinator Genie 6 months ago:
I think that it was fucking with me. I chose Aladdin and it really didn’t seem like it was going to get it until question 19 “does your character like flying on carpets?”
- Comment on Why the original, 1999 version of EverQuest is still one of the best MMOs to play today 6 months ago:
One of the best times that I had was when I started a dark elf and decided to avoid using the fast travel gates to get to the popular places to level. I stayed and explored the areas around where I started out and it was great fun.

How come they can only fit “Super Mario” on 2 but they can fit “Super Mario Bros” on 14?
- Comment on I just got a pop up ad from Windows, for PC gaming and buy their Xbox controller. 6 months ago:
Same goes for chrome and presumably Firefox. It could be a notification from a website.
My money is on the Xbox app or the Windows store app that did it.

Yeah. It does look too tight for the poor thing to sit or lie comfortably.
- Comment on The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion 6 months ago:
First thing that I did in the DLC was to start an original game mission that I hadn’t done on this character but I couldn’t complete it. I think that it was the one with Lizzy where you had to get into a nightclub and talk to someone. I couldn’t get past the bouncer even though I had max street cred and the two side entrances were also not active.
I’ve done the mission in another character with no issues.
- Comment on What games have you been playing recently 6 months ago:
I just started and finished (it’s not long) Red Matter after they released a PSVR2 version.
I’m also playing the Cyberpunk DLC.
- Comment on Larion Studios forum stores your passwords in unhashed plaintext. 7 months ago:
You should always change your password from the system generated one to prevent that from happening. The app that you signed up for should enforce that by making you change your password when you log in.
- Comment on Unity adding a fee for devs for each time a game is installed, after certain thresholds 7 months ago:
Existing games built on Unity will also be hit with Runtime Fees if they meet the thresholds starting January 1.
How can you have a deal in place and just say “you’re giving me more money” and think that that’s ok?
I am altering the deal, pray I don’t alter it any further. - Vader

It also describes a right to own property but I don’t think that anyone would argue that you should receive that property for free.

Using the built in Google option. It was years ago though.

I used to block search results from that site for this very reason. I don’t seem to ever get anything from them anymore though.
- Comment on Google calendar won't open links in Firefox iOS 8 months ago:
Also, it’s turned on the ask me every time option so you’re likely to be asked a few times as you’re likely to just hit the option you want before realising that there’s a way to turn it off.
- Comment on [deleted] 8 months ago:
They’ve already done this in Outlook. It opens the web page in Edge and the email in a side panel. I don’t really like it but I’ve not mustered up the energy to find out how to fix it. It did ask me if I wanted to turn the feature off the other day but I’d already shut that pop up down before I realised what it was.
- Comment on Gatekeeping the Infuriating 9 months ago:
I also infuriate me.
When I’m doing any type of DIY and finish using a tool for the moment it goes on the floor or table closest to me and I can never find the bloody thing when I next need it.
If I apply some discipline and designate an area for tools then things do go much more smoothly.
