Also, most people don’t even have a static ip address so they might have banned a different location altogether and the banned ip address moved.
- Comment on Old gamers don't understand what mobile gaming has become 2 weeks ago:
My point is that you need to decide which games to play and that you have already judged a game when you decide not to play it.
You might not like the art style, or the gameplay, or the reviews or whatever but you have definitely judged it without playing it. The only other alternative is to literally download and play every game that you see.
- Comment on Old gamers don't understand what mobile gaming has become 2 weeks ago:
If you can’t be bothered to actually try what you’re criticizing, you have zero business judging it. That’s not opinion—that’s ignorance.
If there are 700,000 games then you must judge games without trying them. Otherwise you’d be constantly playing games to see if they’re any good and would still not get through them all.

They don’t have Edge installed so they are being requested to get it so that they can open the link.
- Comment on Even in android Microsoft is still trying to get you to use edge 4 weeks ago:
Lots of apps override the default behaviour when opening links and ask you to use a specific browser. I actually do use Edge and have been asked if I wanted to use Chrome.

They are competitors on a personal level as many people only have the time or money to fit one of them into their lives. But by that definition cycling or golfing is also a competitor and nobody would write an article about how golfing beat the Steam Deck.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2 is now in preproduction, CD Projekt says 1 month ago:
I don’t follow games before release so I wasn’t disappointed by missed promises and really enjoyed it.
The first that I heard of it was how buggy it was so I left it until people were saying the bugs were mostly fixed before getting it on sale.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2 is now in preproduction, CD Projekt says 1 month ago:
I don’t think that the NPC behaviour was the problem but the fact that they promised more. The NPCs didn’t feel significantly different to those in other games for me.
- Comment on What games are just objective master pieces? 1 month ago:
In my opinion, Portal 2’s difficulty curve was off. It started in a good place and ended in a good place but was too easy for most of the game.
The two player section was fantastic though.
- Comment on Peter Molyneux explains why his infamous Kinect game Project Milo was never released 1 month ago:
I really liked the potential of Kinect as the first one had some good stuff for it.
I liked the fitness and dancing apps, I thought the Forza Motorsport integration was very subtle but good for immersion and the voice control of Mass Effect 3 was also immersive.
They were all promising improvements that could have gone somewhere with the second version. But then they fucked it up and it went nowhere.

Everything Microsoft is pushing Copilot everywhere……. even Windows Notepad ffs. If there was ever an app that definitely didn’t need AI it was a basic text editor.
- Comment on Cox charges you $25 if your credit card is declined 2 months ago:
I used to be a contractor and was sometimes bad at processing timesheets and invoices.
I had one occasion where I had (numbers made up because it was ages ago) £100 in the business bank account with no overdraft facility when a £150 payment went out.
The payment went out putting me overdrawn. They waited a day before deciding that I wasn’t allowed an overdraft and putting the money back.
During that 24 hour period a payment for £25 was processed and blocked because I was overdrawn.
They then charged me two fees for refusing the payments even though I had money for the second one in the bank.
I switched banks right after that.

Dying Light, the zombie parkour game was also good and had great movement mechanics.

- Comment on Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! 3 months ago:
I loved Titanfall 1 so much. Titanfall 2’s campaign was absolutely fantastic but I didn’t get on with the multiplayer so much.
I actually think that was a “me problem” rather than a problem with the game. I think that I had just had enough of multiplayer shooters as I’ve not played one since.
- Comment on Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! 3 months ago:
I got stuck on it and then stopped playing for so long that I feel that I need to start again. I do intend to start it again if I ever get the time to put into it.
- Comment on Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! 3 months ago:
I felt that Portal 2’s difficulty curve was a little off but was perfect other than that. It was too easy for most of the game and then ramped up to what I consider to be a good difficulty level later on.
The two player portion was fantastic though.

Its like if Samsung would remotely lock your TV making you unable to turn it on again because they stopped “supporting” it.
Didn’t Sonos do that with old speakers? I don’t think that it went down well.
- Comment on Canva charges you to make a circle 6 months ago:
Visio is similar in that the lowest plan doesn’t let you use many of the built in shapes.
You can add them yourself as images but loads of useful shapes for a network diagram, for example, are missing making it very inconvenient to use (I’m now using draw.io).
I can understand limiting certain functionality (like only having a web UI) but not making basic tasks unnecessarily difficult.
- Comment on If you save, we will charge you more 6 months ago:
That’s not really what it’s saying.
It’s saying if they sell less power then the cost per unit of power goes up. This is how all businesses work due to economies of scale. If you sell a lot of stuff then you can sell the stuff for less money and still make more money.
If you personally use less power then that won’t increase your price per unit enough to offset the savings you made by using less power.

The two inflation calculators that I found said that a dollar in 2014 should be worth $1.33 in 2025. That’s significantly lower than the lowest price increase in this infographic.

I ordered a laptop the other week. It was a rush job because the previous one was unusable so I selected a model that had next day delivery.
I got an email at about 8.30pm that day saying that they’d dispatched it early! They’d have struggled to have got it to me next day if you’d dispatched it any later.
