I literally thought they were supposed to be siblings for that whole movie. They both look related and they had whatever the polar opposite of chemistry is.

No they do it for free. These aren’t paid assets they’re angsty disaffected teens.

I trust politically interested 16-year-olds more than I do politically apathetic septuagenarians.

That’s already how it works. You never have to register to vote; you can spend you’re entire life opting out of the electoral system.
But when you register to vote you’ve accepted your civic duty to cast your vote everytime. So 16-year-olds would just have the option of starting earlier.

The massive block of fine print at the bottom of the screen. Things my preteen self would not take notice of.

The mimics are there throughout the entire game. However about 1-2 hours in you get a piece of equipment that lets you detect shapeshifted mimics before you get close. You start encountering non-mimics pretty early on though. Once you get out into the lobby you get some variety in enemies which is pretty early on.

Prey should have been called Neuroshock. Yes it’s basically bioshock in space. Even down to the wrench.
I slept on Prey for ages and eventually worked up the motivation to play past the intro and it was such an experience I immediately did a second playthrough. It’s legitimately one of my favourite games. Heartbreaking that it didn’t perform well.

God this was me when I lived at home. Now 70% of my paycheck goes to my landlord. I’m still able to save because I’m frugal as heck but holy shit it would be so much easier without my landlord fucking me in the ass monthly.

Hot take:
Piracy is virtually always justified. By pirating you are simply opting out of transferring wealth from consumer to big business which could be seen as a redistribution of wealth (however small) from rich to poor.
Exceptions would be indie Devs or filmmakers for which you would have more disposable income to support if you saved your money by pirating big budget films/games/software.

So what’s the problem with piracy then? I’m still supporting them but I’m saving money in the process. Win/win. What a world!
- Comment on Is the word Alphabet literally just a conjunction made from the first two letters of the Greek alphabet? 4 months ago:
These little epiphanies are always fun. Like when you realise how many maths and astronomy terms are just romanised Arabic words like Algebra and Algorithm.
Another fun one that I wasn’t smart enough to notice on my own is that the Hindu-Arabic numerals have the same number of angles in the symbols as the number they represent.
