Like it or not they have assets here. If they move their operations overseas and evade taxes they can enjoy having their assets seized and their IP confiscated.
- Comment on In the event you believe a contract killer is in breach of contract, who adjudicates? 1 week ago:
This. It’s always worth the extra silver to go with an established guild. Never worth the risk to take a chance hiring an assassin from Craigslist.

If you quit another will take your place. Possibly a conservative. You’d do more good holding that seat than giving it up.

I care about the Americans who voted for Kamala and are attached at the hip to fascists who are taking the ship down with them. The ones who eagerly voted for Trump? Drown.

Sorry bud, not a yank. You have my sympathies though.
If it turns out that he does indeed win the popular vote then yeah I’m sorry for your loss. A nest of at least 50% fascists or fascist enablers.
Heart aches for those that did their civic duty and yet have to suffer the repercussions :(

They haven’t finished counting that’s why. Rural areas are faster to count and skew conservative.
A republican hasn’t won the popular vote in 20 years. Trump is projected to win but like last time he’ll lose the popular vote and win by virtue of the electoral college.

I’m not going to play chess with a pigeon but I one day you’ll have your first moment of introspection and I hope it results in your realisation that while not complicit in the “Biden-Harris Genocide” you are absolutely 100% complicit in each and every consequence of a Trump-Vance administration which includes the genocide of Palestine.
- Comment on I'm not worried you're worried 2 weeks ago:
If Trump wins because enough of you idiots couldn’t hold your nose and vote then the blood of those Palestinians is on your hands. You don’t get to absolve yourself because you chose not to participate in democracy.
You aren’t opposed to genocide because you couldn’t be assed to do the smallest thing to mitigate it.

Tbh most of the ire aimed at immigrants here is specifically targeted to either Indian or Ukrainian migrants. Infrastructure is genuinely buckling under the weight of migration but it’s a case of too little investment and not entirely the result of immigration.
I can say as a white, western immigrant to Canada that I’ve never had anyone complain about my immigration however I’ve had locals complain about immigration to me forgetting that I am indeed one of the immies.

Nah Terraria Elseworld (otherworld?) fell through. It was going to be a spin-off/sequel before they cancelled it and later announced Terraria 2. T2 is still in development I believe (and pray).
- Comment on Racism 3 weeks ago:
Nah the Salarians neutered the Krogans. They uplifted the Krogan to beat back the Rachni only to turn on them afterwards. Whether or not the Krogan were expansive or betrayed is a “history written by the victor” scenario but what the Salarians did was straight genocide. The Batarians are assholes (especially that one piece of shit bartender in Afterlife) but they’re not responsible for what happened to the Krogan.

Well when rent is due or stomach is empty, you don’t assess the fiscal responsibility of debt you pay the piper and live another day. Some people live paycheck to paycheck and one accident can send them into a death spiral of debt due to no fault of their own.

Yeah the mystery of the triangle was puffed up by disingenuous authors who lied and fudged details to pretend ships went missing all the time. Things like reporting ships missing but not their eventual returns, claiming there were no storms when records showed otherwise, including sinkings and crashes that happened well outside the triangle, and a bunch more.
When the the data is analysed; the number of incidents is the same as anywhere else on the planet.

To quote Wikipedia:
It was later discovered to cause lung cancer, mesothelioma and also because of its fibrous structure; it breaks into lots of tiny little microscopic needles when agitated. Those little shards get inhaled and poke tiny holes in your lungs which causes Asbestosis (kind of like Emphysema for smokers).

- Comment on Does alcohol expire? Specifically whiskey? 1 month ago:
This is also why a lot of beer and other alcohol is bottled in brown bottles. The brown glass blocks some amount of UV exposure which can affect the final product over time.
Green glass has no such benefit though. Just looks nice.

When I bought Fallouts 1, 2 and Tactics from EB like 15 years ago I couldn’t run them even with the disc in the drive. The shitty securom was broken and refused to recognise the disc. It was only thanks to pirates that I was able to crack them and play the copies I fucking paid money for.
DRM is cancer.

It isn’t just housing it’s infrastructure in general. Governments are happy to bring in more bodies to fill jobs and pay taxes but don’t bother to plan accordingly and infrastructure takes a long time to build leading to a lagging effect.
Hospitals, transit, housing, etc. It’s all being overwhelmed right now.

Hear hear. Soul was a great movie because it was fun for kids but spoke to adults. Pixar does that a lot. A good kids movie is just a good movie that’s appropriate for children. Sure you can feed kids entertainment slop and it might even make bank but if you’re trying to make a film and not just a vehicle for the line to go up then slop is not it.
