Had the same problem and mine had a little thing at the bottom you could turn with a screwdrive to open or close the gauge a bit. I think I fiddled with it and when I closed it a bit it got stable again.

I definitely agree on the first part. But: there’s enough ppl who want to see everything. And even if you don’t, a lot of ppl just subscribe to their favourite communities and that’s it. That’s totally fine.

- Comment on Why do AI image generators have a stroke when they try to generate text? 11 months ago:
The best answer will require a very technical understanding, but I’ll give it a try and stay abstract.
The AI is trained using images. If you type in things like “a tree” it has a vague idea of what it looks like.
The thing is writing letters is a hard concept. How should the AI know text is made up of letters? Connected lines make a letter and unconnected ones don’t. Sentences are connected using dots.
Easy enough for us, you have to imagine an AI is best with what it can directly observe. But knowing when to literally write out letters is hard. So it has a stroke. It has a vague notion of “this is where text is supposed to go” but making the letters look right in an adjusted font, remembering where letters end and how words are spaced; all of this is far too complex.
Now I haven’t looked into it for AIs who CAN generate text more well, but I assume the only they do this is by deciding “there’s gonna be text” and then using another process to insert the text basically after the fact. Or maybe there’s some special process change in the training or inference of the image going on? Idk, for this one I need an expert.

“why didn’t he make a run for it” if you realise you will be tried, it is too late. If you try to flee somewhere without a good reason, they will hold you and arrest you.
He’s not a genius, but he’s also not a total idiot. He knows.
- Comment on Why didn't SBF flee? 11 months ago:
And then there’s also a difference between being intelligent and being smart. If you are intelligent, you might know how to cheat in a videogame. But if you are smart, you know that this a bad idea because of a plethora of reasons.

No but in the videos it looked really cool. Great game, but 4/5 for fishing only because the mechanics resemble fishing less and less. Mhm, maybe 4.3/5 for fish variety and originality as well as cooking.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
Oh most definitely. I play this one together with a friend occasionally and he always helps prepare for the bosses while I mainly just fish. 4.5/5 really good fishing game. Enjoyed the loot.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
Yeah so when I asked the Devs for that in testing…
Nah just joking. I did fish in Hades tho. 2/5 not as fun as other fishing mechanics.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
I’m on a streak where I only go fishing whenever the game supports that. Far Cry? Time to learn the mechanics. Minecraft? How about building a restaurant at the ocean and then bringing in the food. Some obscure casual game? You know it baby.
- Comment on Worst fear confirmed: You can't launch Modern Warfare 3 without first launching Modern Warfare 2 1 year ago:
That’s fine.
I bought the game on PC and I played it for 2 weeks and then never touched it again. They managed to touch so many things from the original modern warfare 2 that it completely lost its flow. It was really sad to say that the gameplay lost all it’s charm, but oh well.
Good thing you got your money back, it probably wasn’t worth it anyway.
- Comment on What a terrible relationship 1 year ago:
I really don’t think it’s just to maintain an image. I don’t know him personally, but relationships get weird. Maybe he hasn’t divorced her because he is in a catch 22 with the property, their friends or his children. Maybe he still loves her. Maybe he loves the idea of her. Maybe he does it because she won’t take it well. There could be a million reasons. However, will does not strike me as a cold hearted business man. He might know his way around the actor scene but this ain’t it.

- Comment on lemmy.ml 1 year ago:
I disagree.
Both sides are bad, no matter who is currently the aggressor.
Now because there is aggression, the aggressor has an obligation to stop it, and we have an obligation to force a stop in the conflict as well. But that doesn’t make the other party less Bad in this. Both sides killed a lot of innocent people, both have inhumane ulterior motives and both are supporting further escalation. But ofc if there’s only one party doing the fighting, then that’s the party that acutely needs to be stopped.
This distinction is very important to me, because you are not suddenly the good guy because you stopped killing civilians. You are just not actively doing war crimes which means we don’t have to intervene because of you anymore, which is at least one less reason. But you are not holy because “this year it was only 300 war crimes”.

…wikipedia.org/…/Subjectivity_and_objectivity_(ph…
Well, let’s look at geopolitics. The War in Ukraine. Putin says that the War is important to get rid of Nazis in Ukraine. A lot of ppl in Russia believe him.
I know for myself I don’t believe it.
Let’s walk through your definition: it’s a big thing I think. So either me or they are objectively right. Well depending on if you define this as “actual morality”. That concludes in your definition this can be objectively determined.
Well let’s walk through Wikipedia’s philosophical definition.
Can my opinion be formed independent of mind? That is, without bias, perception, emotions, opinion, imagination or conscious experience? Well I have biases against against Putin because I try to be neutral, but there’s a lot of news articles highlighting bad politics from him. I have a certain perception about starting wars on an argumentation without good evidence. My emotions tell me that ppl dying is bad. My opinions tell me that there is no justification for a war if it clearly isn’t a very limited defense against an attack. I do have an imagination of what the war looks like and what the consequences will be. And last but not least, ppl talking about how they’re relatives died or my father talking about his time in the army has left a conscious experience on me in that regard.
As you can see there’s a lot going on that makes this “objectively true” for me, but I really can’t split all of these influences from my opinion, therefore this is not moral truth.
Now I submit to you that you can’t find anyone who doesn’t have these biases to make the statement that the war is either right or wrong under that definition while being objective, per definition.
Which brings me to the conclusion that on this topic, your definition of it and Wikipedia’s definition on it fundamentally differ and bring me to opposite conclusions. This means either your definition is the one we should follow, or Wikipedia’s, and I have to say I’m gonna make my choice.
Btw this is in no way a dig at the idea that I wish there was some things that everyone knows are wrong, but I just think ppl are ppl and it doesn’t work for most things.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
That said, also remember everyone has their emotional baggage so if ppl criticise you, don’t take it at face value eather.
I know, criticism and therefore self-reflection is hard. I’ve been over overcompensating and self optimizing to the point that ppl tell me to start being more confident and basically try do more mistakes. It’s always a balancing act.

I hope unity’s shareholders are happy with what they hoped for. This is the result of driving a company too far. Let’s makes this a guideline to follow for other companies not to make such shady decisions.
It becomes more appearent with every new instance of protest that there’s something equally valuable for a company as money, and that is community trust. Because losing it can stop growth. I love the new layer of accountability we obtained with the internet.
- Comment on What are the connotations of Joe Rogan? 1 year ago:
Maybe this is my chance to bring a nuanced answer to this.
First of all, these are all speculations, because you can never diminish a person down to what content they consume.
That said, let’s have a look at Joe Rogan: he is a podcaster who started out with a solid baseline viewership and with a positive perception. His views were very moderate. Because of a lot of circumstances he became very popular fairly quickly (one of them is probably that people found his laugh funny). He then changed his topics a bit, got more prestigious guests on the show and also changed his views from what he let shine through in the podcast. He got very much more libertarian / conservative and his topics got a bit more bizarre sometimes. Nowadays a lot of people don’t identify with him anymore and he has had some very controversial situations and takes.
So if someone watches such a person there’s different reasons: maybe they do it for entertainment and don’t take it seriously, maybe they take it very seriously and agree with him a lot. Either way, It’s like watching trash TV: it’s not inherently wrong, but it looks kind of weird to support it, if even just by watching.
Ok this is my little summary. Hope it helps. Also everything else old correct me if I got things wrong.
