Is this seriously an article about the fact that there’s a new Corridor Crew video?
- Comment on Movie Trailers Are Killing Movies 6 months ago:
Nah. We have those too and I used to like them just fine (a few different chains, including Alamo) but not enough to excuse the servers doing the duck-server squat in front of you every 5 minutes.
- Comment on Movie Trailers Are Killing Movies 6 months ago:
Or maybe the issue is that no one wants to go to the theatre anymore and both of these movies will perform just fine on streaming services. My local AMC theatre is dirty, sticky, and oily everywhere. None of the employees give a flying fuck and the management obviously just wants to squeeze as much money out of the operation as possible for the least amount of care and concern. People still talk and are generally annoying during movies in theatres. There’s no movie, Furiosa or otherwise, that I would prefer to see in a theatre anymore.

This is app is very underrated. On the Apple Vision Pro, it was the only app with a working 3D video player at launch. If only they could get the BTAS intro working properly, it would be really incredible.
- Comment on What are the best indie games you've ever played? 9 months ago:
Not technically in their bedrooms but made by students - Narbacular Drop. It was the game that spawned Portal. It’s not a great game, per se, but I’ll never forget the paradigm-shifting moment I had when I realized what was happening.
Valve ended up hiring the entire team to work on Portal.

But what about the money?
- Comment on Kraven the Hunter (2024, dir J.C. Chandor) 11 months ago:
They can be but, in this case, I wouldn’t be surprised if the “money making” comes from a tax deduction or something rather than the movie making money. Most of these movies don’t even break even with Morbius being the notable exception due to its meme status.
- Comment on Kraven the Hunter (2024, dir J.C. Chandor) 11 months ago:
No, they don’t care about that. They’re only making these because they’re legally required to make films with these characters in order to prevent the copyright from reverting back to Marvel.
- Comment on Kraven the Hunter (2024, dir J.C. Chandor) 11 months ago:
Technically, they’re making movies without regard for how good or bad they are. They only care that they get made. I’m just surprised they’re letting them be this bad with how popular Spider-Man is.
- Comment on Kraven the Hunter (2024, dir J.C. Chandor) 11 months ago:
This looks soooo bad.
- Comment on The four houses dads belong to. 11 months ago:
Curious if the brand new ones will last then. I’ve had a few friends say that the new ones break more easily than their old ones but that is also anecdotal.

In my experience, Dewalt has been the best in terms of balance between reliability, flexibility, and cost. Milwaukee is probably the most reliable but also the most limited. Ryobi are cheap junk. Makita tools I haven’t used but I’ve been told repeatedly that they used to be awesome but are now cheap junk.
All of these companies have at least a few items that are cheap junk (like most of the bluetooth speaker stuff…wtf?) but some are worse than others.

- Comment on Star Trek Resurgence Giveaway 1 year ago:
I played several games but the one that stands out the most to me is Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force. EF was based on the Quake III engine (idTech 3) and came with QERadiant, amongst other tools, that let you make your own maps for it. The story for the game was awesome and it was the first game that I think did justice to the atmosphere present in the show with only a little bit of the cheese. Once I finished the game, I went right into making my own levels for it. It was really amazing. I miss games like that and the fact that they came with the editing tools for them.

It’s the first time I have 0 interest in a Star Trek anything.
- Comment on On the end of Discovery 1 year ago:
It’s not my favorite but it’s up there. I think the premise of all the dithium exploding and seeing “the far future that feels less future” that the OP described was actually really cool to me. The previous season where Burnham has the magic flying angel rocket suit was pretty stupid and made it feel like there were no stakes.

Of course! I technically have a rear view that looks out over a view but there are 3 others in here that stare at the ceiling all day. I feel bad for the guy on the lowest level staring at the wall.

And it’s an amazing case. Every other time I go to update my PCs, I do this little dance. I’ve done a back and forth between a Fractal case from this line and then some other case the next time I update and I always end up going back to the Fractals. They’re just very well designed and look great with plenty of airflow and fan mounting. I’m a big fan.

- Comment on GTA 6’s Publisher Says Video Games Should Theoretically Be Priced At Dollars Per Hour 1 year ago:
Not only is it not what he means but this same asshole would probably force devs to add padded objectives just so he could claim it takes more hours to finish. The new GTA will have 1000 missions where you have to walk across the whole map to retrieve some object that needs to be walked back to the other side if this dick gets his way. It’ll be the first game in history where it takes 2 years to 100% it and costs $200 so it’s a steal - only $100 per year of gameplay!

So it’s ok to say that a whole group of people is stupid or that they don’t have the capacity for creative efforts as long as you’re not saying that about someone you’re replying to? Is that your defense of this? This person didn’t say this about the group’s ideas, he said it about them as people.
If you’re going to moderate a platform, it should actually be moderated evenly.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
Tildes is mostly better for actual discussion right up until it’s not. The mod/admin gave me a temp ban after I said someone was “kinda stupid” after they said that an entire group of people was “incapable of creating anything positive or of value”. So, you can disparage entire groups on Tildes and it’s fine as long as the mods agree with you.

- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
This is the part I don’t get. You can easily set aside the history from hundreds of years ago because the point you describe is such recent history that there are people still alive who remember when this period of shit started. There is no one alive to settle the dispute about when the area went from Canaan to Israel and who was right/wrong but there is a lot of documented knowledge about what happened when Britain got involved after WWI up through WWII.

How can you possibly say that? There literal temples in the US with crosses all over them. These temples, in some cases, have crosses made of gold.

- Comment on Rishi Sunak says people ‘can’t be any sex they want to be’ in new swipe at trans community 1 year ago:
It’s almost a game at this point where you can spot the bad actors because they’re constantly using gender and sex interchangeably and pretending they’re the same thing yet you know that they’re definitely educated enough to know the difference.
