- Comment on What’s even the appeal of Linux? 1 week ago:
I didn’t even want to bring up brew, which is also great. I know it’s cool to hate on MacOS, but for both “getting shit done” and mostly “just working” (drivers, etc) I think MacOS is the best intersection of those needs. The hardware is also easily the best available.

MacOS software is extremely easy to install. Drag package icon from mounted drive (with auto popup) to Applications.

Black holes are indeed amazing, but they’ve also become a lazy plot device. I guess without them, something else would.

A very involved answer to my very shallow, snarky comment. I just meant that Starbucks simply sucks and I hate the snooty arrogance of the place. It’s a shitty product wrapped in pretension and high prices. But the kids, they love their hot milkshakes.
Anyway, yeah it’s a shitty company but what isn’t these days. I have my own things I boycott (hilariously, any and all Google and Meta products/software) but at the end of the day you could not exist in modern society if you boycott every shitty company.

Well yeah, sure. But nobody should like Starbucks

I’m white and I hate Starbucks and LOVE Popeyes chicken. I’m doing my part!

It would not. Women in the US are now supposed to be in the kitchen, or cleaning the house. Only leaving to get groceries. Now, a white male, go buck wild!

Given that:
- The statue of Mother Mary cries;
- These earphones are weeping;
You are witnessing divine signals from heaven above, and can charge people money to make the holy trek to witness your hallowed earphones.

Yes, that part is called “marketing”. It’s plastic, that’s what they’re calling “antimicrobial”.

That would be un-presidented! Er, unprecedented.
- Comment on US education 4 weeks ago:
This is the basis for their entire “understanding” of the world. It’s how they thank god when a doctor heals them. It’s how they can say that something produced by the scientific process (vaccines) are bad, but then enjoy so many of the benefits of the exact same process (pain meds). “God did it” is the ultimate willful ignorance.
