I didn’t mean it negatively; criticism can be constructive. trek was sorta supposed to be humanity after it surpassed the qualms and trivial issues of today’s problems. characters in the new shows are too flawed, irrational, ill tempered, quick to act without explaining or planning things. I get it makes for better tv but to me it speaks to regression in humanity rather than the progression roddenberry envisioned; that said TNG and DS9 were probably my faves.
