This is a decent and fun 4X game. Definitely worth the new price if you enjoy those games.
- Comment on The Running Man: Glen Powell to star in Edgar Wright's Stephen King adaptation 2 months ago:
I would love to see a book accurate movie.
But considering how the book ends (a plane crashing into a corpo tower) I doubt it.
It’s also just too dark for modern audiences. I’d love to be wrong though.

As I understood it back in the old times…. The Flat Earth Society was a groups of logical rationalist who got together and for shits and giggles (as well as practicing rational debate) would pick an indefensible argument (eg. the earth is flat) and attempt to use rational arguments to support that indefensible claim.
Basically a rowdy drunk philosophers get together.

From my understand (degree form YouTube), our understanding of what is needed for life is liquid water and free energy.
Which means earth like is most likely, but there are other alternatives. For example, the moon of Jupiter (Titan iirc) is ice covered but has liquid water beneath the surface, and the gravity of Jupiter should provide the free energy so that’s the Vegas favourite for finding extraterrestrial life within our solar system.

WTF is a Sims movie going to be? It’s literally a virtual dollhouse, there is no unifying story to tell.

While I don’t disagree…. I’d just like to say, that if you pay enough for porn, you can get exactly what you’re looking for.
ROI isn’t worth it though.

I understand that American military propaganda is a very popular movie flavour… shoot, I enjoy it myself… But that second movie was just soooo bad. I could barely finish it. It was only through morbid curiosity that I was able to get through it.
- Comment on Is "Burn Notice" worth watching? 9 months ago:
Both of those assessments are true.
It’s a fun background show but if you binge it, it will begin to show it’s repetitive humdrum quickly.
I enjoyed it. Bruce Campbell is always a treat. Jeffery Donovan is a good actor that should’ve been used more. And Gabrielle Anwar is not only easy on the eyes, but she plays a decent character. Shame they stopped the Irish accent after the first episode for her though. That added to her sexiness for sure.
- Comment on What was the best performance by somebody not primarily known for their acting? #MovieDiscussion 10 months ago:
Anytime a comedian takes on a frantic role and nails it.
Off the top of my head….
Robin Williams: Dead Poets Society (and many more, I think that was his first) Bill Hader: Barry. Jim Carrey: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

They absolutely better have a William Boimler episode this season. I will be very disappointed if they don’t.
I’m hoping for a fun romp where William takes Brad along on a dark op. With Tendi. Cause her dark op sequence was just terrific. I love seeing that Orion pirate it up.
- Comment on Inside the ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season Finale: Evil Gorn! Shocking Ending! And Introducing [SPOILER]! 10 months ago:
While I agree that Trek is all about finding common ground, I just hope they don’t humanize the Gorn too much. While I’m no Trekologist I don’t think the Gorn become “friendly” until much later in the time line (like late TNG era). Someone nerdier than me please correct me if I’m wrong.
I’m a little alone on this from what I can see from various forums, but I like the hideous and alien format of this iteration of the Gorn. I hope they continue to at least Cold War this relationship for another season or five.
- Comment on Would you work for a corporation that you oppose ideologically, if the pay is good? 10 months ago:
I consider most “for profit” corporations as corrupt and amoral.
So, yes. Those are the only ones who pay close to a living wage.
