Judgin by your last statement, I feel like you didn’t really read my comment and just cherry-picked parts to comment on. I ultimately agreed with your points in some form, and you…challenge me anyway? You once again say putting everything in one basket is bad as a matter of fact, saying it has an objective downside, and don’t even bother to say what that doenside is or expand on why.
I’m sure you are not invested in this discussion, but you should at least act in good faith if you are going to engage anyway.

Show me a CEO who isn’t pro-GOP. If you protest every company that has a GOP CEO, you would have to live an Amish lifestyle. It is a fine enough reason to avoid a company, but that in itself does not make their services bad.
Not having all your eggs in one basket is a personal choice, not an objective reason why the company itself or their services are bad. I will acknowledge that if things go sour, it would be a huge PITA to migrate to another service.
Not offering services you need does not make the company bad, though it is a valid reason to seek an alternative that fits your needs. Proton has been working on Linux clients (with ProtonVPN being their latest offering). They will get there one day, I’m sure.
I do agree that Proton Bridge is not the best solution, but it is a solution. I also agree that some solutions aren’t worth the effort or pain, so if Proton Bridge does not work for you, then that is a valid reason to seek something else.
I appreciate you taking the time to actually reply back with your grievances. While it may not appear so in my post, it did give me something to think about.

Proton does support IMAP, though it is through a desktop app. IMAP is weak security since it uses basic authentication, so I’m not sure why you think integrated support for IMAP makes a service better or more secure.
There has been a lot of Proton hate recently, much of it being highly misinformed or just looking for reasons to shit on them. I’d love if people could give me real reasons they dislike Proton.

AirBnb became popular when hotels inflated prices around certain events or were at capacity. Since then, AirBnb owners have jacked up prices to be more expensive than hotels, and you have to deal with the “landlord attitude.” It turned from a genuine service into another cash grab scheme.
- Comment on Discord Support system is protecting the Hackers rather than the users 5 weeks ago:
Discord also has a tendency to block connections on its desktop app when it detects you are connected to a VPN. They aren’t particularly consistent with their security policies, but their app becomes more of an unusable mess every day.
Discord is NOT going to get better. Their new CEO came from Activision and they are going to do everything in their power to enshittify the platform and cut down on support costs.

You just jumped to a critical extreme and thought you made a good point? They often say the moment you bring up Hitler you lost the argument.
And once again, you are conflating the goal and the path.
“He wanted to make Germany great” is the goal. “By getting rid of all the undesirables” is the path. The goal is good. The path is bad.
Take a step back, calm down, and think instead of having extreme knee-jerk reactions to everything. Admitting there is something else besides 0 and 100 and that nuance exists would be a great start.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
Silencing thousands of people and users was NOT the goal - don’t get that wrong. The goal was to give users a place where they didn’t have to deal with trolls and the negativity of the world. Silencing users and instances without telling anybody or giving them the ability to toggle that on and off is completely off the correct path.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
The goal was great, but you were going backwards. Just because you had a good goal doesn’t mean you were walking the right path to get there. There definitely needed to be some self reflection here, both from the guy that though putting a DDoS into the software was in any way a good way to prove you stood on the moral high ground and from the communities that thought death threats were the appropriate response to this situation.

More map variety and a more complete campaign. As a child, I played the heck out of it, but as an adult, there just isn’t the same content draw that games like AoE1 had.
If there is one game from that era that I really want remade, it is Tzar.

I happen to love FFXII, but everyone I talk to hates it. I understand it more with the Zodiac Age version since they made a few unnecessary changes, but the original was fun.

Starcraft 2 is super fun as a randomizer in the RTS format, but I do want to see more done with that IP. The problem is, like you, I will never give Blizzard a single penny ever again.
