BioNTech is definitely not defunded in China. Besides BioNTech, there are more local pharmas working on mRNA. BioNTech have a license / working agreement with BMS worth 2 billion dollars mainly for a mRNA cancer vaccine. Mostly handled in China - again. Because in the US as a scientist you’ll be defunded if you use the word mRNA in your documentation.
It is generally fucking nuts to block what could be one of the major cancer treatments of the near future.

China has no social credit score like the western media have you believe. The US has indeed a social credit score, designed to keep the majority of the population poor.

Besides drug approval, which is not a measurement in itself, I can attest to this. A large German pharma, has increased their head count from 7 to 40 within a year. They bought a local pharma for 1 billion US dollar and at the same time closed a US facility. The same goes for many other pharmas. You can say what you want about China, but they are investing heavily in science. Because they believe in science. Unlike the current regime of the US.

China will be fossil fuel free by 2060. And believe me, the Chinese will stick to their 5, 15 and 25 year plan. Actually they already exceeded their target for 2030, last year 2025.

- Comment on Why is us rail travel so expensive? 5 weeks ago:
I truly don’t understand the railway network in the US. Living in China now and the high-speed railway is amazing here. It takes 4 hours from the center of Shanghai to the center of Beijing and next year will be cut to under 3 hours. And nothing to do with but the US is a big country. China actually has a larger landmass than the US and I can go from one side of the country to the other by high-speed train. It’s cheaper, more comfortable than by plane. They even have high-speed sleeper trains now for these long journeys. Japan, South Korea, Europe, UK, and even African countries like Morocco have proper high-speed rail. The lack of investment in infrastructure in the US puts it decades behind the rest of the world. I guess to money for infrastructure goes to worthy causes like invading Venezuela and Iran.
- Comment on Why don;t most of us Americans only need like one foreign language to pass high school? Why not make it mandatory for like 3 or 4 languages?Would that not give us the upper hand when traveling? 1 month ago:
Because all you need to know is in the Bible. Earth is 6000 years old. Dinosaurs are an invention from the woke left. Jesus is white. That’s the curriculum for ya.

Good thing the US has a high speed railway network like China, Japan, Europe or Morocco, so you don’t need to get on a plane. Oh… wait…

- Comment on I am an American. I used to be proud of my country. Now it feels like a turd circling the drain. Is there anything going on behind the scene that America is actually doing good in? 1 month ago:
There is this video about some American traveling and complaining that everywhere he goes people look at him with disgust and disdain. So there is that.
