Totally fair. I think I overshot a bit with the criticality of my comment, because it is shitty for most of us and it lacked sympathy. All I wanted to say is that we are wasting energy on hating on something we personally can’t affect.
It’s another thing that I saw many people from that generation craving and trying for change. Maybe that’s not your experience. It can be especially hard if you have someone in the family actively believing characters like Trump, Orbán, AfD. I believe most people want what’s best for them and theirs, and it’s usually fear or narrow-mindedness that gets them hooked on populistic rhetoric.
I mean just look at the US politics stage. Boomers are dying out and they are surrounded by bad actors from the genX and millenial groups waiting to take over. It’s in the bad actor’s best interest to have us hating each other. We are losing energy on hating/blaming, all the while we are being divided into groups of age, ethnicity, religion. Who’s best interest is this division?

Maybe I’m too angry to express myself properly, but I hate it that these types of hater posts get so much attention. And if I keep going with my rant, I’ll just sound like Patrick Swayze’s character from Donnie Darko.

I don’t really give a shit. All I’m saying is this is the type of petty hatred that divides us. You can be a fuckin hater and spend your energies on rhat (goodness me, I am guilty of that), but hating on a generation in general is just crying over spilt milk.

Yeah… When I arrived in Hungary at age 10, I could buy cigarettes :). But I was a good kid and waited till I was 13. My first time getting tipsy was at 15 at a summer camp, sitting with the teachers/coaches. Friggin 90s.
We got a bit better. Kids can’t go into Tobacco shops and I believe they also can’t buy energy drinks (besides booze, of course). But just to give the vibe: the sale of flavored vapes is outlawed, and you see the police sucking on 'em out in the street 😅.

I’m pretty sure duolingo has Hungarian. Maybe that’s a good place to start.
I’ve heard the youth are coming off of alcohol (even in Hungary), but I’m pretty sure the bars are the most happening places still. The drinking age is 18, and they don’t really card in most spots. Ask the Hungarians for the cool spots, I only know about Gólya and Dürer.

Some expenses are on par with California (eating out and other such luxuries), but if you have a chance to cook, you can make the dollar (or forint) last.
But more to the point, the folk are just coming out of (hopefully) a 16 year period of hostile policy (craaaazy levels of corruption), and with high prices and low wages, our moodiness can be overwhelming.
Definitely take the chance, it will change your whole view on life, but prepare yourself emotionally. Be kind, but don’t expect the openness of US Americans. But whenever you do run into someone who shows openness, they are the genuine article.
I’m guessing you’ll be mostly mingling with other foreigners (good times, travellers are fun), but you might want to do yourself a favor and try to get a handle on some basic phrases of language. Hungarian is too far away on the language trees to be comprehensible, and half a year is only enough for the poliest of glots to learn our language. But some kind Hungarian words and phrases can make a world of difference.

Bailey’s and cream liquors are probably processed. I was thinking more along the likes of a white russian (coffee cream liquor, vodka, cream). To tell you the truth, that’s the only creamy cocktail I know from the top of my head, so it might not be as popular as I made it out in my first comment.

When the only options available to you are a douche and a turd sandwich, why would it be my fault for having those two options? Sure, I could get a better job, or perhaps, work more! Then I could afford to buy the non-parasitic vegetables that currently are only available to me through the salad on a McChicken sandwich.
Sry for the spiel, I know you’re talking about gaming and it is definitely not the same. I still wouldn’t go ahead and blame the victim on that.

I think I like rawg. I just learned there’s a new God of War in the pipes! I’m guessing rawg isn’t a distributor, but that wasn’t clear, even though you clearly mention it above that section. I think the same scoring method sent me for a trip (no shade, just thought I’d give my 2 cents).

Isn’t that how all good charts start out? One opinionated person makes a list of what makes sense to them and maybe attaches a methodology for how they arrived at the order or points.
In my book, GOG would be 10, but I have never purchased a game through them, so it seems they’re not perfect after all. I wanna give steam less points cuz they are only dealing in licenses, so besides Gabe & SteamOS, they feel no better than Epic.
So maybe Steam is a 7 for me, and GOG is only ideally a 10, but in reality I paid them as much as I have Epic ($0).

You might have a chance with ryzen master.
I don’t know if your cpu has this option unlocked, but you can tinker with the tdp to give the little ryzen that could some more power. Probably a great way to fry your machine and leave you without.
I did tinker with the linux alternative and it didn’t feel faster (or hotter), so your miles may vary from 0 to holy shit I don’t have a working laptop with a tiny sliver of it being able to boost more maybe? Oh, and if it does work, you will need some special cooling solution.

Not totally, I have to say. There are still boxers out on the shelf masquerading as briefs. They have longer pantlegs like the boxers, but also the tighty whitey pouch. Needless to say they do nothing for support. Always gotta dislodge manually on stickier days.
