- Comment on 'Millionaires tell me every day that they want a wealth tax' 1 day ago:
Millionaire is a very, very wide category. There are an astonishing number of people who are millionaires by the simple fact of owning their house and their car, in this insane market.
On the other end of the spectrum, someone can be worth 999 million and basically just be a billionaire, while technically not clearing the bar.
- Comment on How would you evaluate having more pay vs an easier job? 1 day ago:
Between more pay and fewer hours, I always want fewer hours.
- Comment on It's not about physical vs digital games, it's about ownership 5 days ago:
My personal rule : GOG over Steam, Steam over piracy, piracy over everything else.
- Comment on Limited Run's Co-Founder Once Had Aspirations To Make A "Physically-Focused Platform" 1 week ago:
If I had to make a platform with physical media, I would distribute games on SD cards.
Games would come on a micro-SD card, coming inside the box inserted inside a full-size SD adapter for compatibility’s sake.
The boxes would probably be around 3DS box sized to enable including a manual, proper box art and a back cover, while being compact.
I know this is controversial but I would make the boxes out of cardboard. Collectors can keep them, and non-collectors can just throw them in the recycling.

Personally I’m waiting for an OLED model.
- Comment on France's left-wing presidential candidate has opinions on GTA 6 and the discless PlayStation fiasco 1 week ago:
Is he going to be a candidate again !? I thought the last race was his last !
Despite my personal liking for him (justified or not) ; I hope someone a little more “amicable” takes his place. Many people are scared of him, some for understandable reasons.
- Comment on Time to bring back physical media on PC? 1 week ago:
I would honestly be more interested in a hard push for GOG, itch, and other similar DRM-free marketplaces.
- Comment on Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles 1 week ago:
Physical media is the entire point of a console !?
- Comment on Poll: Will you buy GTA 6 when it launches on your platform? 1 week ago:
Voted “Not Interested” while guessing it was the least common option, turns out it’s close to 60% ! I guess this audience is a little biased towards playing indies, maybe that’s why.

- Comment on “Gaming is becoming unaffordable” — Xbox CEO says the industry has an accessibility crisis 2 weeks ago:
Their solution is probably gonna be game pass. Everyone is distracted by the anti-AI crusade but we should not forget the anti-Subscription crusade too !
- Comment on GOG when available, but what should I choose between PS5 physical and Steam when not? 2 weeks ago:
I was like you, and I ended up choosing Steam, mainly because I can play the game on the Steam Deck that way.
If a game I own ever gets delisted on Steam : first off, it’s unusual for Steam to remove it from your library ; secondly, I would just pirate a copy if that were ever to happen.
Any game for which that strategy fails, would also never have a physical release on PlayStation anyway.
- Comment on GOG when available, but what should I choose between PS5 physical and Steam when not? 2 weeks ago:
That is factually wrong. Most games are entirely on the disk, albeit in version 1.0 ; you can check on DoesItPlay, they usually have the info.
- Comment on Steam Machine pricing announced (from $1049-$1428 USD), reservation lists open 2 weeks ago:
Damn. I can’t imagine this is what they wanted to price it at, I’m very sad to say it is a competitive price in this insane market…
- Comment on average physics student vs POTUS 47 3 weeks ago:
That’s fine but it would be better if a partially submerged device also functioned partially. And I said material specifically because it’s lame if it needs power.
- Comment on average physics student vs POTUS 47 3 weeks ago:
I wonder if we could engineer some material that does fulfill his spec. Magnetic in air, loses magnetic properties underwater, regains them when out of the water…
- Comment on Why are American men leaving the workforce at historic rates? 4 weeks ago:
A is the actual reason.
The other 3 are excuses.
- Comment on Soulframe: Preludes - Official Gameplay Trailer 5 weeks ago:
I think its the best of the three, and perhaps second only to Elden Ring (though I haven’t played Sekiro or Bloodborne to compare), but it could use more polish…
- Comment on Why exactly are nursing aids paid so poorly? 5 weeks ago:
I think it’s probably not that simple. If it was, someone could come in and massively undercut the entire market…
But hey, maybe it is ! And if it is so, then we can try and organise some non-profit nursing homes that charge exactly what it costs to actually run the place and pay the employees decently, and even slightly less than that thanks to donations !
- Comment on Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN | Official Reveal Trailer 5 weeks ago:
I hope they make the protagonist less bland this time. I don’t mind a sexy main character if it fits their personality (eg Bayonetta) !

For a second I thought that was Majula 😭
- Comment on What is a game you can’t understand why its so popular ? 1 month ago:
Counter Strike.
Nothing interesting ever fucking happens, it’s just shooting guys in corridors and around corners, first who gets an accidental headshot thanks to random spread wins…
The time-to-kill and the rounds are just too short for any sort of interesting macro-game to arise, it’s all micro all the time.
- Comment on Lastest Riot Vanguard Update Can Brick Your Hardware (If You're a Cheater) 1 month ago:
I would rather have cheaters in my games personally x)
- Comment on What is a game you can’t understand why its so popular ? 1 month ago:
The Sims 4.
I mean, The Sims 3 and The Sims 2 are right there ! Both much, much better games, with the same premise but both with much better and clearer direction. Both quite different from each other and interesting in their own right…
Meanwhile The Sims 4 is a buggy mess with over 1000€ of DLC, I cannot fathom why anyone would choose it over its predecessors…

It is impossible to have better performance than the Steam Machine, because the Steam Machine doesn’t even exist yet !

That’s a shame. I was thinking of buying the KCD games soon, now I won’t.
- Comment on The Case Against Gameplay Loops 2 months ago:
I get the feeling, but from a completely different perspective : I want infinite games, at least most of the time.
I’m usually not looking for a good mechanic or two to repeat over and over again. Either a game has to be a focused story that carries me through, or (and that’s what I prefer) : a sandbox.
A world I can inhabit, where I can combine mechanics, set my own goals, exist within… The best game for this is of course Minecraft, but others do come close for me :
- Project Zomboid
- Zelda BoTW and ToTk
- No Man’s Sky
- The Sims 3
So when a game focuses on developing one mechanic as far as possible… That’s nice, I might play a few hours, but I’m very unlikely to finish the game.

AFAIK, historical documents show the Japanese government were ready to surrender, if they had been sure the monarchy would be preserved.
The bomb could have been replaced with properly worded surrender terms.
