The entire reason I’ve ever bought consoles and games was because I could get used games at a bargain and also sell my old consoles and game collections when I’m done with them. I can’t imagine that I’m the only person who looked at it this way.
Now console producers pull shit like this when they can’t even claim to be more user friendly than PC because SteamOS is a real competitor.
Well I guess it was good while it lasted, at least until the last few years when greed fully took over. Microsoft is already on it’s last leg and Sony and Nintendo are going to follow eventually.
- Comment on How do you avoid AI music? 2 weeks ago:
The answer is stop using streaming services. The AI problem will only get worse as people keep paying for these services because what CEO is okay paying an artist a premium when they could instead generate slop and sell that for the same price? But your music on Bandcamp or sail the seas, just stop using Spotify.

Cool but can they make it so when I buy the game, it’s in my steam library? No? Not interested.

This question is useless, especially here where you’re going to get a million different answers from some of the most opinionated experts on the Internet.
They are all effectively the same with very minor (and shrinking) differences. The actual biggest difference is the type of release cycle (atomic, rolling, etc) and you can find multiple of those in the same distro. Again… It’s all effectively the same.
I’m gonna recommend what works for me, but it might not work for you. I like these because (again, in my specific use case) they “just worked” with little to no problems: Fedora for a desktop/laptop and bazzite for a handheld. Again… YMMV.
Go check distrowatch and try a few different distros until you find one you like. The more popular, the more likely you can find a community to support your questions.

It really is great if you’re on Windows, but I’ve run into issues installing GOG content on Linux.

I stream my music files from my personal server. I also use an mp3 player when I know I’ll be offline for an extended period.

We accrue non-slave-time slowly at approximately 2 weeks per year. We can use it for leisure, but that’s expensive, so gotta budget for it! And we also must spend a week before and after slaving extra hard to make sure the masters don’t notice our lack of slaving while we’re away.
