  Did the variety of enemies that require different weapons not already provide a reason to use different guns? I actually found myself swapping weapons a lot to be able to overheat shields, deal with special enemies and more.

  I think it’s quite different though. Companies self censoring themselves is quite a hot different from a separate entity implementing censorship by terminating payment systems. Indie devs can still make such content. The mastercard/visa situation on the other hand effectively kills it for any team producing such content and I think that is far worse.

  Take a quick look at DLsite and Pixiv, Japan hardly censors anything other than pixelation of specific body parts. If anything, it feels like the west is heading towards much more intense censorship.

  This is a country that has porn mags being sold in convenience stores and plenty of stores where you can find content for all sorts of fetishes both online and offline. They also have 2 huge indie artist markets every year where at least 50% of the content being sold is porn. Each event gets about 300k people. Only thing I can think of regarding censorship here are the mosaics and those are only really there due to a very old law that no lawmakers are gonna bother with expending political capital to reverse.

  They’re gift cards that you can buy from a different online store that’s from a different company. Then you redeem them on DLsite.

  What’s stopping them from doing what DLsite did in Japan by using credits purchased off site? Seems like an alternative business opportunity there.

  You’re also not having a random conversation on the street, this information is just a quick search away. By making up numbers and creating a bigger issue when existing issues are already strong enough of an argument, you hurt your own credibility and attacking people for pointing that out is even worse.

  Yea ally things considered, I think the device is reasonably priced for what it is. The Deck was exceptionally cheap on launch so I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. The specs of the Deck weren’t really mind blowing either when it came out, what made it great was the package as a whole and for the price, it did great. The specs of this device is already way beyond what the Deck has even accounting for the 3 year gap.

  As much as I like my Deck, they’re not really able to fulfill the role of a Switch for party games since a number of them are exclusives and setting up controllers are a bit more tedious than joycons which are essentially plug and play.

  Most PC handhelds are also fairly bulky and heavy, I find myself struggling to hold them unless I’m resting it on my lap or a table while sitting so this may not be great for a 7 year old.
