How does she not die of embarrassment at the irony of wearing a crucifix around her neck
- Comment on Rideshare Stimulator finally gets its genAI disclosure after much Saber-rattling, and it turns out the game also uses the tech for in-game music 6 hours ago:
The fact that people are spending so much time in games doing something menial they could be actually doing in real life, bothers me terribly.
Sounds like you’re in the wrong community then.

Respect for going straight to the door-opening. I never trust the thing to shut off before I get irradiated so I press stop and wait a moment before opening.

Quake 4
I forgot this game even existed. It wasn’t very good tbh

The idea of supporting a mod seems a bit wild to me. Back in my day, people just released mods when they were done and that was that.

0% chance you didn’t grow up to be a nerd.
If you had said music, it would have been 15-20%. But audiobooks? 0.

Does that mean you’re going to break into my house and delete the compiler off my computer? Because unless you’re doing that, this is just factually incorrect.

Worth noting that even if the law passed, most places still wouldn’t let their workers actually use it. This country sucks

It’s not pathetic. two weeks would be more than my wildest dreams.

I think this is fake and an AI generated image.
Didn’t even need to study the picture. The premise alone is ridiculous

Jesus Christ. Hospice and private equity do not belong in the same universe together. The fact that this isn’t swiftly and easily prevented by the courts is an incredibly basic failure of society. We cannot have a civilization while something like that exists.

The government already subsidizes food production. We’re just asking for a slightly bigger subsidy

- Comment on Thief vs. AAA Gaming - An Essay 2 weeks ago:
Thief 2 is the only game that has come even close to replicating the feeling I had dumpster diving after dark. It gives you the exact same type of butterflies in your stomach and the same elation when the job goes off without a hitch.
I can easily say it’s the best stealth game ever made and the runner-up is so far behind that you need a microscope to see it.

You’re right, but 2012 is when they started paying too much attention to mobile and it started to bleed into everything else.
The 90s was clearly better, UI-wise, so yes, I wish people would go back to that.

There should be more of a plan for young adults and society than “good luck,” if they want it.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
Web/UI design in general has sucked for at least 14 years now. Everything is spaced too far apart and text/images are too big. Icons are used for critical functionality instead of words. Pointless animations and gradients slow everything down for no reason.

Pretty much any famous person from the past wouldn’t matter one bit if they lived today.

Women on dating apps rate 80% of men below average and men rate 50% of women below average. You can say women are more reasonable but it sure doesn’t look like it.

She’s a big deal because fox news made her one. She’s the new target after Hillary stepped out of politics.

The games in most cases haven’t been fully contained on the discs since the PS2 era.
They should be. That’s why people care.
