Im back to Balatro after losing all interest in it. Just got a couple more decks to unlock until I can decide I’ve completed it. I obviously never will (get gold tokens on all the jokers? Lolno) but it will feel like a good point to stop with no regrets.
- Comment on If not intentially a minority and I get into a fight and I did not know they were gay, palestinian, jewish, or whatever. Can I still be charged with a hate crime? Or does one have to know first? 1 day ago:
You may still be depending on how the story is spun, but you shouldn’t be. Hate crimes are motivated by the prejudice

My suggestion was Red Alert too, but from 3.
- Comment on Why old games never die (but new ones do) 3 days ago:
Its the same with music and films. They were so much better in the past and here’s the examples. Not included in the examples are the thousands of songs and bands that didn’t stand the test of time.

There’s a lot of good explanations here already about details, but big picture - it’s a big club and you ain’t in it.

Mine still exists for almost exactly the same reason. Its excellent tech and it can be used for great things. One day I’ll learn how to do stuff like that and then I’ll be as a god. I mean not today obviously I got stuff to do I’m a busy man, but one day. Probably. Its nice to dream.

- Comment on After a lengthy legal battle and billion-dollar loss, 'Fortnite' is back on iOS 1 week ago:
Yeah as much as I dislike the business model of microtransactions in modern games, and fortnite is the most popular and blatant example, they’re also pretty much the gold standard in how it should be done.
I’m pretty emotionally ambivalent towards it. I both dislike and respect it at the same time.

by moving to the competitor
That’s where I am with the Xbox. I’m pretty happy with it and don’t want to switch over, but the massive digital catalogue I’ve accrued would make me really hesitant if they start shitting it up.

I corrected my mistake and am still getting told about it. The most innocuous of mistakes in one of the lowest stakes locations and topics available.

I meant they because it wasn’t specified in the headline, but you can’t win them all.

If he’s on the case like properly I’ll be a happy camper. There’s been a couple of actually enjoyable mobile games from netflix.

- Comment on As Gamers Express Concern About Borderlands 4 Potentially Costing $80, Gearbox Chief Randy Pitchford Says: ‘If You’re a Real Fan, You’ll Find a Way to Make It Happen’ 1 week ago:
Did they fix borderlands 3 yet? It came on game pass and it turns out it’s impossible to play for more than 15 minutes without resetting the game and doing it from the last checkpoint. I won’t be playing 4 until I complete 3, and I won’t be completing 3 until it’s fixed.
- Comment on $80 for Borderlands 4 too costly? Randy Pitchford says, "If you're a real fan, you'll find a way to make it happen" 1 week ago:
I’m the opposite, I don’t give a monkeys about the story but I like the loot goblining.
That said a borderlands came on the gamepass the other week and I was so excited to lure my boy into co-op with me for the first time in ages. It wouldn’t stop crashing. I googled it to see if they were aware and all I could find was the company sucking it’s own dick about having already released the final patch to stop it crashing so many times. I wouldn’t say I’m thrilled about the idea of dropping $80 on a day one release.
- Comment on No, the next-gen Xbox does not run on Arm — here's what you need to know 1 week ago:
Feels weird to be talking about next gen Xbox already, feels like we only just getting the supply issues of the Series sorted.
- Comment on Sony blocks Stellar Blade on more than 100 countries 1 week ago:
Could you elaborate a little more? Like do those countries not allow subscription services or something?
Only reason i can think of with my rational, non-global-economic brain is that it’s got too much gory/sexual/political/whatever content that isn’t worth the effort censoring.

- Comment on What techniques do bad faith users use online to overwhelm other users in online discussion and arguments? 1 week ago:
To be fair I wasn’t around in ancient times to get my loincloth in a twist about it. When I saw that list the Internet was just moving away from Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan chat rooms. It wasn’t the all-pervasive life-replacement it is today.
- Comment on What techniques do bad faith users use online to overwhelm other users in online discussion and arguments? 1 week ago:
I remember reading that list years and years ago and thinking how petty it was that so much effort has gone into it.
Now I’m a little bit worried about how far ahead of the game these cunts are.

- Comment on Is it weird to sometimes wonder wether everything you know is wrong? 1 week ago:
Daily, but on a much smaller, pettier scale. What if I’m wiping my ass wrong? Nobody taught me exactly how to do it, and it’s not like anybody is around to notice and say “hey, you know you do it like this?”
I try not to think about my own opinions on big picture stuff as I can spiral fast.
- Comment on Fortnite now lets you chat with Darth Vader using generative AI speech [Eurogamer] 1 week ago:
I might have to install fortnight again for a quick shot at this. I’ve never knowingly voice chatted with an AI yet and want a go.
I’m excited for this sort of thing to be properly implemented in games, it’s only a matter of time, and wouldn’t mind a sneak preview.
