- Comment on Gamers have you ever been in a game competition or something similar? 15 hours ago:
What do you mean exactly by “wiped the floor with us”? Even if they are the devs of the game they’re still devs, not pro players. How much better could they be?
- Comment on Riot Games allows betting sponsors for League and Valorant teams 16 hours ago:
Yup, the pro scene has been financially unsustainable for many years now. This or a shutdown were inevitable.

Uhhh… max, so about 80PSI? Is that too much?

The problem is - which one? To most laymen Bitcoin seems like the go-to, but Chinese miners hold over 51% of Bitcoin mining compute.
- Comment on Now that I've got my conclusion, it's time to go look for evidence that only supports said conclusion! 1 week ago:
It’s not that anecdotal evidence is untrustworthy, it’s that it’s only applicable to those who were the ones to experience said anecdote.
- Comment on itch.io now seemingly affected by payment processor rules as Steam 1 week ago:
What I don’t understand is - WHY?!? They make money off of any transaction made via them. By doing this they are literally making less money. Reputation? I don’t see how it would reasonably be affected?
I want to understand why, what is their incentive to do this?
- Comment on Dictionary.com “devastated” paid users by abruptly deleting saved words lists 2 weeks ago:
You guy are blaming the user instead of the company that made a shitty anti-consumer move?
- Comment on nightshade 2 weeks ago:
I did NOT know that, thank you. I’m going to prep a few more in my hydroponic, hopefully they’re not out of season just yet.

I tried growing tomatillo, the damn thing is shooting flowers but nothing coming of it. The tomato plant next to it is already bearing fruit, almost ripe!
Screw that thing, if I don’t see any fruiting by the end of the month I’m ripping it out of the ground!

Agreed, I wouldn’t be surprised if 70% of posters on /pol/ were goverment employees/automated systems of various countries each pushing their own propaganda. This is true of other boards as well, but /pol/ is hardly an accurate representation.
It is unfortunate that the one place on the internet where you can voice opinions fully anonymously has fallen so much.

“Revealing the discordian 4chan sub-groups actively fighting FOR oppression of basic human rights the the differently-abled.”
Ah, so its no longer the entire site, but a sub-group of users.
Listen, the site itself is neutral, anyone is free to post anything they want. The only actual rule is to not post anything illegal.

Flirt? Nah, thats pure creep behavior.

- Comment on Is possible to learn to swim, just by reading a lot about it? 3 weeks ago:
For any skill, no matter which, the more theory you know the more accelerated your learning rate will be. But it doesn’t inherently teach you a skill.
having knowledge == learned skill
having knowledge -> increased perception of mistakes/inaccuracies while learning -> more rapid rate of mistake/inaccuracy correction == accelerated learning rate
In a way you could say that theoretical knowledge is equivalent to having talent it terms of what effect it has.
- Comment on Rumor: MMO Developer ZeniMax Online Studios May Have Closed Most Of Their Locations 3 weeks ago:
I stopped playing ESO after U35 hit. It is unfortunate to see it go, but the game was on life support for a long time. Perhaps this will result in ex-devs creating their own AA studios and releasing games they actually enjoyed making.

- Comment on George R. R. Martin's New Announcement Has Finally Made Me Accept He's Never Finishing The Winds Of Winter 2 months ago:
The problem wasn’t the end itself, it is just how abruptly it happened. It would be the equivalent of Frodo simply riding the eagle from shire to mount doom. Same ending, but a much shittier story.
The problem is that GRRM has written himself into a corner, and simply needs to bite the bullet and retcon/rewrite previously published books to make it work.
