Asbestos was used in absolutely everything back then as it was cheap, plentiful, easy to work with and possess some great properties. If it wasn’t for the dangers we would still be using it.

I think you have a humidity problem if your bathroom is humid all the time.
- Comment on Nearly all drivers say headlights are too bright 2 weeks ago:
It’s both, but generally it is drivers activating auto dimming not realising they’re unleashing hellfire upon others. some cars are worse than others though, looking at you Stellantis and Tesla.
- Comment on I always give them money when they have creative signs like this 3 weeks ago:
That sign is factually wrong, there’s no such thing as being too ugly for porn, you just have to compensate by being equally kinky.

Works perfectly fine on IOS no matter the browser base.

So you’re saying that the theory about über und unter mensch is real, but that the über mensch isn’t white and proud but rather blackish and hairy?
- Comment on Would I sound taller if I gave my height as 6'-4"? 2 months ago:
If you go metric you’ll sound even bigger as 172 is bigger than 5.something. But to answer your question, it’ll only work until people meet you as 8”/20 cm is quite the difference and they will notice. Plus you’ll get the added benefit of being untrustworthy because you’ll lie about such a basic and easy verifiable fact.

But that would target all the people in power.
- Comment on Samsung brings ads to US fridges 2 months ago:
Wifey and I bought a new fridge a year ago and even though I made it VERY clear I didn’t want any “smart” features, he kept trying to sell us that shit instead of the liebherr we were interested in. After twenty minutes or so I looked the seller dead in the eyes and told him he just lost 15000kr ($2000) and a customer. We ended up ordering the fridge through Liebherr directly.

Your privacy is not as important as childrens safety on the interwebs. What do you think happens if they grow up and see media that isn’t government licensed.

- Comment on Would you rather unionize or buy some videogames? 4 months ago:
I live in Denmark, a country known for its great worker protection laws, and that is only because of the unions. I pay roughly 1000$ p.a and let me tell you one thing, that is the single greatest money I’ve ever spent. It is sort of a safetynet above the government one plus a lot of other things. Worker protection laws are great, but they won’t happen without your unions fighting for them.

- Comment on [XKCD] Pascal's Law 6 months ago:
It doesn’t take less effort, it is just stretched out over an amount of time necessary for your body to keep up. And yes I know I sound like an pedantic jerk, but I work on hydraulic systems every day and know how they work 😅
- Comment on What's the point in getting married? 7 months ago:
I’m getting married this summer, for my girlfriend and I it is purely practical. We own a house together, but because of how the laws are here in Denmark my mom would inherit my 50% instead of it going to my future wife in case I die. We could pay a lawyer to make a document that’ll du the same, but it’ll cost the same as the party we’re throwing instead.

- Comment on How is my bedroom being heated? 9 months ago:
Exactly, properly set up underfloor heating in a well insulated room is not hot as it should be regulated on the return, ideally it’s only slightly warmer than the room temperature you’re trying to achieve.
