he also 100% existed lol. Yasuke has tons of historical records about him because he didn’t exist in like ancient Japan, he was the bodyguard of Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku era. like you said, racists are just idiots and can’t stand actual history that goes against their stupidity.
- Comment on ‘We had to stop focusing on those who hated us’: Ubisoft says it won the battle against Assassin’s Creed Shadows backlash [VGC] 5 days ago:
Yeah none of those reasons were why people hated Shadows though. It was entirely racists. They aren’t gonna make any more improvements to their formula because Ubisoft doesn’t innovate, they’ll just wait for someone else to add an interesting twist to the open world formula and then steal that.

I thankfully don’t have kids, so I dunno if they’re still doing it, but I first heard of it in October. Also dunno if it happened outside of the US
- Comment on Everything used to be better 6 days ago:
6-7 is the hot new vocal stim that kids love repeating these days. It’s from a viral TikTok.
25 used to be a vocal stim kids would say, I wanna say its origin is from a joke in Spongebob.

The One Piece subreddit is exactly the same, and is basically unusable for actual discussion. I think it stems from an issue in moderation. as big as these series are, most of these specific anime subreddits have very few moderators. If one of em is a gooner, it becomes a gooner sub.

Britain marked Palestinian Action as a terrorist group and Germany has also cracked down on pro-Palestinian content.
These are not the bastions of freedom that you seem to think they are.

Did the patient ever die on House? I’ve only seen random episodes from back in ye olden days of watching whatever was on TV, and in all the episodes I watched he saved the patient in the end. Compared to the actual U.S. healthcare system that rarely cares what’s wrong with you and will often do nothing until it’s too late, I think I’d take my chances with House.

Yup, I switched over when I got a new computer over the summer, haven’t had any issues on Bazzite so far. It’s really great to not have any bullshit AI spyware on my computer!
- Comment on What is the most overrated game gamers hype up? 4 weeks ago:
I actually really liked the setting and artstyle, but god yeah I do not understand why that combat system needed to be the way it was. It put me off playing the sequel, because I just didn’t want to suffer through the most godawful shooting combat of any game I’ve played this decade for another 40 hours.
Wasn’t this the same studio who gave us Max Payne? How have they been making third person shooters for like two decades and still mess it up?

- Comment on Happy 20th anniversary to the Corrupted Blood incident! 4 weeks ago:
No, not at all like COVID. Don’t confuse ignorance for malice. The issue with COVID was skeptics who only consumed right-wing propoganda downplaying the severity of the virus. There were no skeptics in the Corrupted Blood incident, people were maliciously trying to spread the virus knowing that it would kill other people.
- Comment on Happy 20th anniversary to the Corrupted Blood incident! 4 weeks ago:
everyone always overexaggerates how useful the incident was to epidemiologists. It was certainly an interesting novelty, and some cool studies were produced, but the issue was that there weren’t actually consequences for bad actors. It’s a lot harder for assholes to willingly catch a disease with the goal of spreading it when that disease can actually kill them.
I’m more miffed that they never figured out a way to rerun the event for WoW Classic, if even for only 24 hours.

I honestly love that we’ve all agreed to misattribute this relationship of triangles to Pythagoreas, because it’s meant future generations keep learning about Greece’s greatest crackhead.

DLC feels like a very strange term to use here, but it’s cool to see the team still plans to add more content after the mod was released.

Love the idea that twinks aren’t also muscle hunks. You think the male body just does that? Unless you’re genetically gifted or under 21, expect to put in a lot of gym hours, because if you wanna lose serious weight without gaining muscularture you’re in for a shitton of cardio and dieting.

- Comment on 'Borderlands 4 is a premium game made for premium gamers' is Randy Pitchford's tone deaf retort to the performance backlash 1 month ago:
From the reviews I’ve seen, it actually seems like they listened to complaints about three and have toned down the cringey dialogue.
Of course, nobody can get the damn thing to run, so hard to independently verify, but it seems like this entry was meant to be a triumphant return to form, far closer to BL2 in tone and style than BL3.
It’ll maybe be worth checking out once the inevitable Game of the Year edition goes on heavy discount in like four years.

There’s actually a lot of pretty good British food; unfortunately, it’s typically quite terrible for you. Like, I’ll fight anyone who wants to disparage a sausage roll, but I also understand that some people don’t want the food they put in their body to hurt them.

- Comment on We can't keep making videogame stories for players who aren't paying attention to them 2 months ago:
I mean, good creators don’t? There are still AA and indie devs pouring their heart into stories they want to tell?
This article is basically just bemoaning that AAA develops for the lowest common denominator, which I can understand as a gripe, but it’s a very old gripe. If you start really digging into AAA, you’ll get other similar ones like “Why are these gameplay loops made for people who don’t like gameplay” or “How come perfectly serviceable story focused games get mandatory crafting systems added onto them.” When you’re trying to make something to broadly appeal to as many people as possible, you stop making art, so I don’t know why people keep expecting AAA to produce artistic experiences.
