After watching some British TV shows, I now know that birds can also mean women so this just makes me laugh still.

I’m not hating or anything—and you’re right, at least with what I’ve seen I do get a lot of shorts based on what I personally subscribe to. I don’t always get that but the ones I like I already recognize who they’re from. I was mainly just pointing out how its changed over time to have shorter videos. People still make longer vids, yes. All I’m saying is once upon a time, people were fighting to get longer videos. It’s just silly to me that now because Google has to “compete” with TikTok, they purposefully embed this kind of thing on their platform which, as I say, is just silly to me. No hate… just silly.

I still remember YouTube starting out before Google and in those times, it was a remarkable feat just to get vids beyond 5 min let alone an hour. Now we’re back to vids just being under a min. Crazy world.

Internet addiction.
It used to be easy even before social media when StumbleUpon was around. Was like world wide web roulette sans Google and all you had to do was click a button. Good times.

All they have to do is get the same guys that did the trailers for KoTOR and they’d see very good things come out of it. They’re just trying to milk it every way they can so that they can hold on to something now that they’re losing all their OG IPs to public domain.

- Comment on 32, f. Are there any dating sites that are actually free and don't suddenly force me to pay to actually use the site? 4 weeks ago:
The question i have is not even about dating but just making IRL friends. Stuff like meet-up is full of scams and professional networking. Where what I’m looking for is a site where I can find people that share my hobbies/interests.
I’m struggling with finding this kind of culture home too. I feel like meetup used to have more events in my area—and I’m practically in the the city and near big metro area—but ever since pandemic, I have no clue where to find people. Not that I did before because I’ve been a shut-in for most of my life but hot damn, I feel like eventually I will just finally give up and show up to a board game/card game event even though I’m not good at them. I would love if there was a calligraphy type of group thing in my area but I digress.
