I feel super sorry for whoever has to do my next tire change, the previous owner of my vehicle (just purchased otherwise it’d already have had a tire change) was using fix-a-flat for top ups so the didn’t have to lug out the air compressor.
I have no idea how much goo is in these tires, but I can only assume they look like the aftermath of a ménage et troi with 3 “Slimers” from ghostbusters.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 days ago:
Much of this specifically is devs implementing MSAA, which once upon a time was cheap, efficient, and looked fine. Nowadays with RT added into the mix MSAA just simply can’t function well on modern hardware, to the point where even city builders like Cities Skylines 2 will crawl to 14-15fps on low settings if you haven’t overridden the graphics pipeline to remove msaa and replace it with one that actually functions.

What is wrong with ps4 or ps3? Are the games not good because they are aged?
I do most of my gaming on ps1 and wii, and a bit on PC.

Huge phone, big app icons.
I try not to use apps other than my browser for privacy reasons, but also I’m super easily distracted so I try to keep the apps I freauently use on my home screen and HUGE so I don’t get distracted by other apps or bright colors.

I’m easily distractable so I have the scale cranked up and the color cranked down so I only do what I opened the phone to do.

We call them Progressive Addition Lenses in the US

Hiya! Former optician here!
Have you taken your progressives in figure them adjusted or aligned?
Progressive lenses must be fitted in the perfect spot in front of your eyes to give you the best possible vision.
Once fitted correctly, they mimic the way your focus changes naturally by applying +power as you progress further down the lens, basically shifting towards spherical shape to “magnify” a bit, the same way the muscles in your eyes bend your inner lens to do the same!
In order to use them efficiently:
Folks tend to point their nose slightly downward as they view distance, keep this in mind as your distance section is at the top!
When looking near people tend to slightly cross their eyes and look down towards their nose! This is why the bottom of the lens feels stronger, its where you’re expected to read through.
Midrange is the tough one to nail. I recommend holding a piece of paper with text at arms length in front of you, find the spot where its perfect and slowly drag it from that spot to where you’d prefer to read. This will help to train your eyes to follow that track to vary the focus.
Dont give up! I usually recommend giving your lenses a few weeks to adjust to a new style of lens.
Remember though, while they may be difficult to use at first, your vision should be perfect when they do work, getting them to work 100% of the time is the part that takes effort.

- Comment on Alexa, how do I remove cooties? 3 weeks ago:
Mushrooms, as long as its so we slowly, can be cooked for extremely long times at extremely high temperatures as the spongy matrix that makes up the majority of their tissue is far more stable to heat than other protiens. They tend to go deep into maillard style caramelization type reactions instead of carbonizing as ling as you’re not incinerating them rapidly.

Friend did you play Skyrim?
I don’t mean to be all “Bethesda slop good” but the story they’re telling (outside the main quest) is pretty spot on regarding rampant racism and nationalism tearing apart a country already at the behest of a small cabal of criminals. Vampires living on a private island want to extinct the earth so they can hunt free for a couple years.

While travel there is inadvisable, I’m sure you could find a place to live in “The Zone of Death”, a 50 squsre Mile section of Yellowstone National Park that is between jurisdiction for states and is largely unpatrolled. Travel there is highly inadvisable because of you get hurt, you’re not gonna get found, and you’re probably gonna end up prey or starve to death.

The flash memory the OS is stored on is borked.
Filesystem check shows dependency errors attempting to check ext4 fs on /dev/mmcblk0p2. Assuming ext4 and fsck are installed (it should be if this isn’t a mega-custom ultra stripped down private distribution) this shouldn’t be possible.
Further down networking fails to initialize leading to a bunch of fails before it succeeds and reaches its target, only to be stopped by the dependency errors again.

I’ve got a SCPH-5501, after they “fixed” the swap trick (you have to do it twice, with really good timing to do it on that model) so it was worth it to use a scam memory card that corrupted if I had more than 3 saves on it to make a tonyhax card.
Been a great time going back and playing ff7 and frogger 2.

Where did you read this? As far as I know and has open sourced all their graphics drivers and they’ve all been wrapped into Mesa, which is available on all distros

Have you softmodded the PS1 to accept backups? There’s a disc you can burn that if you do the swap trick with it it will configure a memory card to be used to load backups
