- Comment on Do you cheat in video games? 1 week ago:
When I’m spinning up the n-hundredth skyrim run I cheat my stats up a bit to skip the early game tedium, but otherwise I tend not to unless I’m getting bored of a game and want to sample endgame content to see if I wanna keep with the grind

That’s a brilliant idea, I might actually propose it to my local library as a prospective volunteer for the service.

Context implied to me that a dismissal was meant by no contest, despite it being the literal phrase we hse when accepting the court’s opinion with no contest.
Maybe I’m wrong, Idk, text is tricky.
- Comment on Silly goose 2 weeks ago:
Its perfectly clear, i can Rephrase it in midwest english:
I was at the courthouse in my neighborhood to try to get a ticket dismissed. You wouldn’t believe it, but there were a bunch of white people getting dismissed easily while African Americans all had court dates set to have trials.
Surely this was a coincidence, especially with a town sherreif who looks like a good ol boy with a gun. Certainly coincidence. - Comment on Gaming Pet Peeves 2 weeks ago:
I think shotgun slugs would be good loot from a werewolf, but they should be a junk item or a crafting item to combine with gunpowder and casings to make new ammo, not ready to use shells that’s just silly why does a werewolf have those?

Its bleached and straightened. The bellend shape implies it would be curly if she didn’t cook it every morning with a flat iron.

Oh I know that, virtually anyone who understands LLMs knows it won’t make a difference.
In an ocean of data, you can dump in all the poison you want but as an individual you’ll never manage to poison the whole thing without viral measures

The only long S I know of the the ß used in the german language. I’m a big fan, and use it frequently in my handwritten notes.

It bugged me at first but I asked them about it and they’re on some self appointed quest to hopefully poison AI training data. Its really not that big a deal.
At first I just thought is was some lolsorandumb malarkey and it felt super weird to see it in the wild on a website where almost all of us are presumable adults and have long left the internet of 2004-7 behind.
Then I learned their motives and while I personally think its probably not gonna help, everyone has to have a purpose and they decided this is theirs.

I don’t know about that, somehow doubt there’s a statistically significant difference in the population of gay fascists vs gay everyone else. I think given how they’d surround themselves with, they likely would hide it under the guise of sexual fantasy, but that doesn’t make them not gay, it just Makes them a gay coward.

You can just do things. There’s no real rules.
Once I used some jewelry wire to connect pins from a vga port on my PC to pins on the svideo port on my tv. Worked fine. It was black and white but I had a display.

Re: xbox
You need drivers for it.

While the package names and how to install them will be different since you’re on mint, this section in the Arch wiki discusses your options for Xbox controllers.

Xone is the one I’ve needed instead of xpadneo to get the xbox wired headset working with them.

If you like Offset sticks, the Xbox elite series controllers are phenomenal, it will require additional drivers.
I prefer my sticks aligned, so I usually use my custom DS4 from scuf.
Sometimes I like my stadia controller, it just feels nice in the hands.
I hate the switch pro Controller, it feels… Off somehow.
For retro gaming I use an OG Xbox controller (custom USB bodge job) or my 8bitdo sn30pro+ while I like the 8bitdo, its bluetooth is Unreliable so I recommend using a cable.

Looks like a stamdard slice of sara lee or oroweat. Neither of which are really bread and are more like bread flavored cake. But yes, its bigger than normal sandwich bread.

- Comment on It's OK to just like lemon water. 4 weeks ago:
Just an aside, you can make Alkaline lemon water.
It do it:
- Peel a lemon using a vegetable peeler
- Squeeze the bits of peel (pith side up) into a glass or bottle. This allows you to express the oils from the peel.
- Add your Alkaline water to the Glass, the oils will rise to the top, some of it (very little as oils are hydrophobic) will mix with the water, giving it a lemon flavor similar to lacroix.

Compare: Both are fruit, both are roughly round, both have stems.
Contrast: The one on the left is redder and less shiny than the on the right. The stem on the right is green and less woody than the one on the left fruit.
Additional research necessary, consider vivisecting the fruits to see how their internals compare and contrast.

I went for a lower end GPU from the previous generation at the time, a GTX 1650 the types of game I was playing at the time accomadated that decision.
- Comment on PC Master Race 5 weeks ago:
I’ll chime in:
Since purchase at $1200 for a custom build in 2020, I’ve spent $500 upgrading storage and my video card for my PC. It can push most modern games at 80fps with ray tracing on low and all other settings on high. Leveraging frame-gen it can do 2k120.
It also holds about 5TB of music and movies, and hosts them on a server which I can access anywhere via a URL pointed to my tunnel.
It also has a DAW, an IDE, and a Nextcloud instance, also accessable anywhere.
$1700 in for total liberation from the tech overlords is worth it. The 500+ games in the steam family library are just a bonus.
- Comment on Never buying milk from Walmart again 5 weeks ago:
I’d love to show you a video or something but everything I’m seeing online is super vague and the couple I watched to completion to see if they showed what I’m talking about ended up being “dairy industry cares about cows” propaganda. The milk is moved from place to place by pipes, not by humans dumping it into vats who could make mistakes.
The only way it could make it through the whole process without homogenization on a standard line meant for homogenized milk is if the ultrafine mesh the milk is forced through to homogenize it were for some reason missing and the batch were sent through anyway, which shouldn’t be possible if proper Service In Place procedures are being followed (lockout tagout for out of service lines).
- Comment on Never buying milk from Walmart again 5 weeks ago:
I don’t want to get into the intricacies of milk processing for mass commercial scale, so I won’t explain the whole thing, but in short: no, it absolutely could not have missed that step.
- Comment on Never buying milk from Walmart again 5 weeks ago:
Virtually all supermarket milk in the US is homogenized, this is curdled due to spoilage.
