Hi, former optician here, your glasses are probably fine quality wise but you should consider updating your Rx more often, at least every 2 years. Eyes change more than people tend to think they do, and since our lenses can be adjuated with muscles we often don’t notice when our vision begins to deteriorate.
I have a total correction of about -3d in each eye, but if I dont put my glasses on in the morning I don’t need them and can go through my day normally. As soon as I put them on and am hit with the strain relied though I’m unable to go back to not wearing them for the rest of the day.

My fave PSx game is actually the terrible 3d platformer “Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge”
Its so phenomenally bad and permantly broke my brain to love bad 3d platformers.

My perfect game is Civilizaris Skypico 4X for the PS1.

If it’s not a magnificent 4x experience that makes me forget to blink for hours at a time, I want punishingly difficult quarter muncher style arcadey titles.
I have too much time in the Vlambeer games, and have way too much time in splatformers.
Jrpgs are OK too, but I only like them on handheld. I’m working through the PSX release of FF7 on my RGxx35sp right now and having a blast with it.
My tiny claim to fame is that I once beat After Burner Climax at Gameworks in Newport, Kentucky circa 2011

In my experience it’s pretty cheap to get bootleg dvds imported. I’ve used eBay and walmart’s online store for getting 100% legit DVDs of things that definitely got physical editions.
I got Andor 1 and 2, as well as Fallout this way, mostly because fuck The Mouse and Beef Jesus.

Wisdom is burning at 1x anyway because it results in a higher quality burn

I used to be friends with an EMT. They’d be carrying 80+ pounds of medical equipment everywhere they went just in case something happened and they weren’t on route. Heaviest backpack I’ve ever seen.
Grand scheme I’m sure you’re right, but to the few people they saved by carying that bag, I’m sure they’re one of the most important people in the world.

In fact, I went and checked the fandom site and can only find that teens specifically cannot make imaginary friends because they lack childhood innocence.

In Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, any child can make an imaginary friend. Eventually it was canonized that teenagers could also create an imaginary friend. When an imaginary friend is created in universe, it enters the universe exactly as the imaginer imagined them.
The Meme is implying that teens are making imaginary friends (who have bodies and a physical form) for carnal, hormone fueled purposes.

I realized I was too competitive when I kept losing my higher ranked RL matches because my fingers were too sweaty to grip my controller.

Git isn’t a service like you may be expecting, but git servers can be. GitHub, GitTea, GitLab, SourceForge, and Codeberg are all examples of such services, all of which can be used with the git tool.

A Relatively recent gaming-type setup with local-ai or llama.cpp is what I’d recommend.
I do most of my AI stuff with an rtx3070, but I also have a ryzen 7 3800x with 64gb RAM for heavy models where I don’t so much care how long it takes but need the high parameter count for whatever reason, for example MoE and agentic behavior.
