the thing I don’t like about fairphone, just like any other phone, is that upgradability is still impossible. I wasn’t able to find any information about it when I checked, which is an indication that it’s not possible, otherwise they would probably use it as a marketing point
I think the focus on fairphone is more on sustainability and repairability than upgradability
maybe it’ll become possible with a future fairphone, or the mikrophone project, or another group

smartphone manufacturers have almost no common standards, they are made to be bought and then disposed of instead of upgrading the specs
it’s impossible to do stuff like upgrading ram which would be very easy on a computer, and every smartphone has a different cpu
companies are doing their best to keep the open source guys out of the game, which in my opinion would solve a lot of the issues if this weren’t the case
I want a smartphone without ios or android but just plain linux, which should be upgradable and durable, possibly with open source firmware and that kind of stuff

just not changing pace is good enough in my opinion, that makes it look like he was actually chasing her
if he takes the same road and she is scared it’s more of a she problem since he’s just going home
imo the solution is just not to do anything sketchy, and teach younger people what’s right and wrong, so that the problem can get solved with a better society in the future

unfortunately everyone has a different favourite color, so the experiment and peer reviewing has to be repeated for every individual
a color is better than another only based on personal preference
- Comment on Reality? What Reality?!? 2 months ago:
ok, here’s the experimental process
everyday you choose a color from a continous spectrum, then these color will be similar but not exactly the same everytime, the real favourite color is somewhere in the middle
the next step is to choose which color is better than the other by starting at the average color, and then performing gradual descent on the RGB color space until you reach the local maxima, which is also probably the global maxima thanks to the first step

the problem is that the average body temperature is slowly decreasing, so this isn’t that well defined, we would need to link it to an event that is at constant temperature
also the celsius scale isn’t that good imo because it’s about the freezing and boiling of water at ambient pressure so it isn’t universal
I say we set the boltzmann constant to a known value, and define temperatures from there
after that we find a range of temperature with useful round values and offset the scale for everyday use
