Right? When I was a kid we didn’t need all these fancy buckets and soft toilet paper. We just started to work at 14 and get our own house at 15, paying the full 2000$ cash. Bunch of snowflakes.

After the normalisation of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, white-supremacy, maga is now explaining us how raping kids is not actually pedophilia. Or if it is it’s because those kids where beging for it. And if they didn’t they just deserved it and the age of consent is a woke concept anyway.

Europeans are pretty active on this mater. I’m always amaze by how much people go to bistro bin France and Belgium. I think this applies to pub in England too. In Quebec, I think it was morr common in the 60, 70 and earlier and fade away with the importance TV and later the Internet took in people’s home. Now when I go back to some small cities that use to have pretty active downtowns in the late 90s and 200Os, it’s absolutely dead. The only bars that survive have a crowd of people in their 40s and more. It use be full of young people, but now I guess they just "flix and chill’…

Ir’s a new world, designed for and by rich people. They plan to replace most of us with AI and automation, and want us to fight each to the death until 70% of the population is gone.

I still use my 2 steam controllers. I want to game on couch so this is the most mouse-like thing I’ve found, back in 2016. What’s up, why don’t they sell these anymore?

Dude, you’re the one who wants to win an argument here. I use both computer daily. I also have an Amd 5950x, an i7 6700, a 2012 MB pro at my studio that I use a couple of times week. I’m not exactly a computer illeterate, it’s part of my job to work on different systems I don’t do a ton of multitasking on the i5, no need for 42 tabs open on a media and gaming system lol, but I can assure you if there’s any lag on firefox with a few tabs open and an office suite running, it’s not enough to bother the vast majority of people. Seriously I cant count the number of times I’ve add this discussions with “gamers” that believe they know everything about computers because they play AAA and upgrade their gpus every 2 years. I’m should really do a freaking video of my i5 doing the normal stuff people do and playing a few games, just so I can stop having this discussion lol. In the end, I dont care if you dont believe me, but you really should work on optimizing your system if you can’t do normal stuff on it. Btw, if a computer is good enough for pro audio, it’s good enough for browsing and office work lol.

I suspect it’s all the OS bullshit that makes you experience laggy. Obviously having an SSD and 8gb ram is essential. I made a super light install of Win 10 on my i5 750, years ago, and any office works is still 100% smooth on it. Even editing and mixing audio is not much different than on my M1 Max, I still open some old projects from time to time. I teach computer science in an audio engineering program, and I’m convinced that in the field of audio, we won the battle of computing power a very long time ago. On the other hand, for video processing, game engines, etc. it’s another story. But in the field of sound, power gains are marginal these days.

Has mentioned, I just finished It takes 2 with my nephew. Might subscribe to Gamepass to try Doom The Dark Age. Not everyone needs 4k or competition performance.

I think people tend to forget that the vast majority of people don’t even play games on their computer. Like when I mention this computer, I always get “Nah, this wont play Elden Ring at 4k 120 fps, just throw it to the garbage”. But my parents, sisters, most of my friends dont give a damn about gaming. And this computer is definitely fast enough for all my personal gaming need, I actually have
Another thing, is that gaming streaming services are now super efficient. I could literally play Doom the Dark Age at 1080p on Xbox Game pass with this PC, and I sometimes subscribe to PS+ to play Playstation exclusives.

I don’t play online games, but otherwise I have a library of 200+ games and they all work fine so far. At 1080p, sometimes I put it at 720p to get higher fps.
Lately, I’ve been playing It takes 2, Little Nightmare 2, Fallout 4, Hades, Sable, Doom 2016 among others, no issues.

I mean, it’s not my work PC anymore, but this one has been my main entertainment system for years now. I really don’t need to upgrade and create e-waste to gain a little bit of performance. I haven’t even installed Linux on it yet, still on win 10, but that will make it even faster. It’s my firm belief that like 80% of the people would be fine with 15+ years old computers.

I keep repeating this, my i5 750 (2009 pc), oc at 3.6ghz can do any fucking thing most people do with their computer. With a 1060 gpu, It plays like 90% of the games , I’ve made pro audio and video projects on it, even a small vr game.
